Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel the Vampire - Part 2

I ****ing hate Pete, but I've never seen any trace of Conner in his performance on Mad Men.

Anyone think it would have been cool if the First became Snyder at some point in s7 and did like a critique of Buffy, Willow and Xander?

That would have been glorious. I think they really missed some good opportunities with the First impersonating the dead. Having Kendra mock Buffy for her death would have been good, along with Angelus.

Conner getting to hook up with Cordelia made him plenty likeable to me.. heh..

That would been awesome and hilarious.

the whole Connor hooking up with Cordelia storyline i didn't enjoy. i didn't think it did either character justice. tbh once Carpenter got pregnant in real life, i think they hated her lol

Eh, if I had been watching at the time, I would've hated it, but in hindsight, it wasn't actually her, so...

They (well Joss for one) did in fact "hate" her for getting knocked up which is basically why she got written off the show. I wonder how S4 wouldve gone had Charisma not become pregnant.

Me too, but I also heard she didn't tell them about it until the last minute (basically on or around the time she started showing), after they'd already made their plans for the season which they then had to scrap. Hard to tell what's true anymore but if that is, I could understand Joss & Co. being a little bitter about that. Regardless, I'll always hate what they did to her character.

Agreed, i think that Joss can sometimes have a bigger ego than he should, even before he got all the popularity, while enjoy his writting, it seems like he thinks that it's better than it actually is.

it truly was awful bc outside of that, the season really had some interesting themes and moments, but man the pregnancy and possession was really the worst part of it all

Charisma was horribly blackballed by Joss after she got pregnant. Not a good look for someone who is famous for feminist writing.

Charisma was at a convention somewhen and explained how she didn't like what they did with her in season 4, and was unaware that her character was being cut from season 5. She found out when the press asked her about it. Horrible treatment. Later she was asked to come back for the 100th episode, and though she was upset about her situation, she felt the fans deserved closure and agreed to do it as long as Cordelia wasn't killed off. She signed the contract, got the script, and what do you know? They killed her anyway. In the end Charisma did it anyway because she knew that episode was too damn good. A sad story.

To be fair, the season 4 plot sounded crappy anyway. Before Charisma got pregnant, Joss wanted to make Cordelia the big villain. I'd seen enough of that.

I read that he was considered for a Xander segment in "Conversations With Dead People", as was Jesse from the pilot. Eventually it was cut.

Anya was supposed to haunted by Halfrek in that episode too.

From what i heard Charisma is also the only cast member to not ask for money when a fan asks for an autograph

I think Cordelia as a "higher power" was a bad call anyway, even though I love the show as a whole so much.

Well the higher power thing wasnt real anyway, Skip worked for Jasmine. It was all a con, she wasnt some amazing angelic person worthy of being a 'higher being' at least thats how I saw it.

Because at first I was very wtf at that move too. They should have never done the "I'm so bored/get me out of here" scenes and just dropped her back at the end of that one episode.

Its sad what happened to her but the 100th was great. It all kind of worked out.

I agree. If she was in a Heaven "dimension" like Buffy was she would not want out of there no way.

Plus it made me mad that she was the ONLY original Scoobie to get killed off.

I hated that they didnt do more with the demon aspect of her. It seemed as if they would randomly give her powers and do nothing with it. Like what was the point of having her levitate at the end of that one episode, never to use it again? Seemed more like shock value

I may be in the minority but I loved her with Angel so I was also pissed after all that buildup, they never got together.

I feel like they could have expanded on the demon power storyline without ever going into the "higher power"/"get me out of here" storyline. It could've climaxed in a Buffy season 6 Willow-type story, or even have her slowly evolve into an Illyria type.

However, I love Buffy and Angel both so much that one thing I didn't like so much isn't going to hurt my love. Also, I totally loved her season 5 episode.

I HATED Cangel. They are like Buffy/Xander to me. Work much better as best friends than lovers.

Now that I think about it, I loved Jasmine and the Beast so much that I can forgive the Cordelia stuff that I didn't like as much.

loved the Beast but hated Jasmine with a passion. That whole story arc was a big WTF to me
