In other words, because it's closer to your own personal rating, it's objectively the most accurate and *sigh* unbiased?

Objectively accurate is, according to the best data we have available, something like the following:

RT audience score of 76% for MoS.
Metacritic audience rating is 75%.
IMDb audience rating is a tick lower at 72%.
Fandango's is highest (4.5 stars out of 5 or 90%).

If you average those four scores out: 78%.

And I recognize that this is a self-selected sample of film enthusiasts. But I think it is safe to assume that these are also probably the ones most likely to spread word of mouth on social media.

Did u think mos deserved a 56 on rotten tomato though?

I thought it deserved to be rated fresh, not rotten... But only just. So whatever the bare minimum for that is (60%?).

And even then-- that's my ONE opinion... RT collates 200+ opinions, and there's simply no way that all those critics are somehow out to get that movie, or part of some grand conspiracy, as seems to be implied here all to often.

Saying or implying that 77/100 is objectively right, simply because it aligns with my views... is objectively wrong.

Ever since the comic con where Lennix read out the DKR quote most people here have been following BvS and its developments, Campea only started getting behind this and stopped his whiny little out the side of his mouth remarks after two trailers in.

Almost everything else was knee jerk scepticism. He wasn't a fan to begin with, he was a minor detractor that slowly changed his tune when footage made it clear this was going to be half decent. He hasn't been one of those on the nose haters and he is behind the project now, but it would be dishonest for People to claim he wasn't on the unreasonably sceptical bandwagon for quite some time.
Theeeee **** are you on about?

The man is geeking out as hard as anyone here!

He was happy with Ben as Batman

Here he says he loves the trailer and the lines in it.

So again, the **** are you talking about?

Let's not go on that path again. Those who love MOS probably won't understand why those who hate it can hate it, and the other way around. Any movie won't trigger the same reaction with every single person.

:funny::funny: thanks for those. I couldn't be bothered to search for the vids myself. Being a lazy ass myself.

Like I said he's been a fan since day 1

Well you know, if you outright insult people on these boards you get banned.

I agree that the Collider crew have done that on occasion, hell Schnepp would say the same thing every time BvS was brought up for months after that Doomsday trailer came out and yeah it was annoying. I only remember Campea bringing Gal up when it was fairly appropriate. Yeah earlier he was pinching it in every not n then but can you blame him? Gal was not a worthy candidate to bet on. But we now see she is gonna do great and Campea sees that and that's why I like the guy. Sure, he fanboy rages out from time to time, we all do. But he is never afraid to say he was wrong.

When has he said that?

No. Totally different. You can be sensitive about the casting of a lead iconic role that will be in multiple movies and a lead in one. But don't be *****ing about the guy *****ing about the casting..

"Gal was not a worthy candidate to bet on" - fair enough, but none of the supposed top 3 candidates were, so why go after her every opportunity? And I don't see how bringing her up when it was appropriate (like discussing BvS in general) changes anything. He complained unreasonably (I'll link to the video just so people can let me know if I'm imagining things) about her casting 3 years before we're seeing the movie.

[YT]PCRElOKIcV0[/YT]

While I'll give him credit for prefacing his statements like he did, it's kind of neutralized when you make absolute, declarative statements like "This is TERRIBLE. This is a TERRIBLE casting, just AWFUL!...Number 1, I don't want a 95 pound Wonder Woman!"

Also I know this is retrospective, but him mentioning Carano makes this extra face palm-worthy after seeing her in Deadpool.

Don't know how long you've been watching collider but he was a fan from day one. Check their old videos on AMC.

Dude still claims the comic-con trailer is the best trailer he's ever seen.

He was a fan of the movie getting made, I don't deny that, but his initial response to a lot of initial announcements was skepticism and in a few lucky instances neutrality. Watch the video I linked from 3:00 onwards.

He does admit when he's wrong, I'll give him that, but he could save himself so many instances of going "Oh...yeah, seems like I was wrong about that...again" by just being neutral and seeing how things pan out instead of going on a diatribe about how a model who's "95 pounds" can't make an acceptable attempt to bulk up in 18 months. Hyperbole seems to be the name of the game for him, I understand that gets viewers, but it's a little irritating.

Read up. Again, I don't give a **** about what he says after something good comes out, his initial over the top negativity seems unnecessary, "nerding out hard" after the fact notwithstanding.

People ask for his honest opinion and he gives it. He thought it was terrible casting. So did thousands of others and he said he was willing to give her a chance. I don't see what's wrong with that.
He mentioned Carano's build, not her as an "actor". Seriously you just posted the video.

Sure, he was skeptical about things like the movie being pushed back a year, Jesse being cast and the Doomsday trailer...That's all I can remember and they are all things to be nervous about imo.

I just did a quick glance because I don't want spoilers much either but it's basically a couple paragraphs on each character and where they are in the film and what they do.

lol that sounds like a huge spoiler to me! :wow: :funny:

don't read it. it reveals the fate of certain characters.

I refuse to give any credibility to Campea because he showed his bias against Gal Gadot, instead of staying neutral and giving a her a chance to prove herself, all we got was how he thought she was the wrong choice.

He is no different from other fanboys on internet writing blogs, neutrality is the first principle of journalism, to be a legit Critic the first thing he needs to learn is how to set aside your own personal bias in favor of giving others a fair chance.

Uh this is the no spoilers thread, for anyone who comes here for that reason, don't read the Stuckmann article.

I'd grade what I saw a bit more than light lol. Beware.

Yeahhh my bad...please dont click it..... THE MAIN THING IS THAT HIS FRIEND THOUGHT IT WAS AMAZING..... AND THAT IT HAS LESS HUMOR THAN AVENGERS AND MORE THAN DAKR KNIGHT....THAT ITS...DONT READ THE OTHERS

Let him be. Now I understand when people say a few fans can be irrational

Didn't some movie critic say he liked a WB movie and we all assumed that he was talking about "Midnight Special" ? Now, He could be referring to that or BvS.

Hmmm so bias...

"Friend of mine who saw BVS "Great! WW is a solid character and Gadot doesn't ruin it at all" That's all I needed to hear!"
