Dark Phoenix "By the Bright Lady!" The Official Alexandra Shipp/Storm Thread

At the moment, most X-Men are white or blue! Anyone black or Asian or whatever tends to stand out and look odd and out of place. Some different skin tones would make the team into a better 'blend' of people.

I can totally see Jubilee being the entry point character for the MCU's X-Men. Young Asian female character who's a lot of fun and under-utilized by fox.

which do u think is more likely to be the entry point kitty pryde, Jubilee, or RDJ(LOL). Personally I think the movie will just start without any real entry point, but I'm not expecting the O5 team. I'm expecting the one from 1975s Giant Size X-men

I would love Jubilee in a significant capacity but the "young mutant gets introduced to Xavier's School" trope for me is kinda tired now after X1 and X-Men: Apocalypse. I'd like the X-Men to be introduced from a different angle.

You would be lucky if they manage to put X-Men into the MCU with such simplistic that allows for an easy animated series style route.

Given the circumstances you could end up getting something so unexpected and different to both FOX and the Comics that the most recognizable part left is that its in the MCU.

That would be marvelous. FoX completely wasted Jubilee. Her role in the films is an injustice especially when you have the likes of Negasonic Warhead getting a decent sized role in the Deadpool movies.

You have a good point. I wonder how much Marvel will "skip" from the stuff FOX has already shown. But when they introduce the concept of mutants, they'll have to introduce a few elements that comes with it, despite FOX already showing or not. And I can't think of a better choice to do that than having a teenage character as en entry point.

That's certainly what you wish for just out of spite to the people who don't like this franchise.

Where you're wrong is that most people will like it regardless of how you view it. Spider-Man: Homecoming haters weren't enough to stop the movie from being the second highest grossing Spider-Man movie WW, despite being a third iteration of the character and the second reboot in a short time span. The power of the MCU is real.

I feel like i have seen all this before back in 2014 when people were talking about Spidey in the MCU and they were speculating on what Marvel would do and alot of it sounded like wishful thinking and by the time we got Homecoming you see just how unrealistic alot of it actually was.

There is no spite involved. its more managing expectation.

Same with the whole X-MEN going back to Marvel in general which is gonna be quite abit more complicated than people probably would want to believe. but its easier to not think about that complicated stuff because its less fun on the imagination.

A fair amount of the haters were probably hardcore fans who didn't like certain choices made.

The casuals likely don't share that view.

Well its also the power of Spider-man in general.

I have never said Marvel couldn't make a good X-Men film, but there is no verification that they will make the movie following any particular comic or animated show rules here.

If they wanted to say Wolverine was actually a Howard Stark experiment which ties him into the MCU then they would.

More hardcore fans disliked the Amazing franchise since it didn't make enough money for Sony to continue it.

Going by box office Homecoming was more liked than the Amazing franchise. So safe to say Marvel made an improvement.

It doesn't matter. The people clamoring for that know what to expect from a Fox X-Men movie by now and they don't like it. So the uncertainty of Marvel is better.

I imagine the hardcores had little to do with its box office.

Well they made several changes that they felt were improvements.

Talking about Marvel is bound to get alot of these comments deleted btw since its totally off topic.

So you say.
Technically they made several changes that they felt were improvements.
Just like they will make changes to distance themselves from Fox's version, then.

Further proving my point = that's what these people want. Something different from the Fox way.

Skip Wolverine's back stories.

Cipher would be a good entry point character for the MCU X-men especially right now.

She has an interesting powerset: intangibility and invisibility giving her complete stealth that telepaths have a hard time sensing her.

She was a part of the Young X-men but I think it's mentioned that she may have been at the school during the New X-men series, just invisible. She told Cyke I think, she was hiding at the school from someone.

I envisioned her being the daughter of Moses Magnum, who could be a good first villain for the MCU X-men.

The important think is that the essence of the heroes are preserved. Which Marvel has a brilliant track record of.

Happy Storm month fellow Storm fans! :)

Who knows what might happen to storm once Xmen is retuned to MCU....

she will be a huge fan favorite worldwide.
unlike Fox's versions.

and of course she will get her own movie too. Id bet money on it

I don't even care about a solo movie, just treat her well in the ensemble X-Men and Avengers films.

I want to see her weather powers used to the extreme in at least one scene. Would like to see a similar effect of lightning coursing through her body as Thor in Ragnarok.

Storm is Still one of if not the most recognizable black superheroes. That being said Fox made far too many mistakes with her.

Fox is clueless about most of the characters that they acquired from Marvel.

That would be fierce! :drl:
