t:DWOA! forgot about damon. Well if it's true (who sourced that news, anyway? Just BOF?) , then that is a setback along the lines of Gordon. Was Chris Cooper really the first choice for Gordon? I hope you're right Seen, and that we get someone who's as much of a step up as Oldman was. I'm just not a huge Chris Cooper fan, his range is SLIM and he's in too many films. played out...

Source:ScarletCarpet.com February 3, 2004
'William Keck' tells us he talked to Chris Cooper at the Golden Globes and reports the following at ScarletCarpet.com...
Chris Cooper tells us he was offered the role of Commissioner Gordon in the new Batman film, Intimidation Game, but turned it down. "I read the script and decided the substance of the script and the character was not up to what I expected," said Cooper. Instead, Cooper will likely play Patricia Clarkson's lawyer in Conquistador, a film dealing with rights for the disabled and written by Cooper's wife. In other Batman news, Morgan Freeman told us at the Big Bounce premiere that he's considering signing on for a part.
Hope you're right.I'm sure WB is just refraining from formally announcing the cast just long enough for us fanboys to blow all of our collective brains out, so we can't nitpick or trouble the production any further.
And give a few weeks or so, I might just do that.
He was the first choice but he turned it down after reading the script. Maybe he was expecting the Gordon from Year One? Perhaps he was expecting a role as big as that?

Hope you're right.
Roven, who has principal photography on two Warner pics -- Anne Hathaway starrer "Get Smart" and Chris Nolan's Batman sequel "The Dark Knight" -- kicking off this spring, has just been given the greenlight by Sony for Tom Tykwer's "The International."

Seems pretty much on schedule to me.
you ARE the sleuth!
I thought Cooper was a bit of a diva about that. I don´t see how Seabiscuit has that much more substance than BB. Of course his role would have been relatively small, but it´s very likely to grow in the sequel.
Well looking at the scripts for both, I could see why he'd be more interested in Seabiscuit. The dialogue was definitely better in that one.I thought Cooper was a bit of a diva about that. Maybe Caine should retire as he said so many times in his interviews.lol.
	Thanks.![]()
I could have sworn i posted that article in another thread in the weekend. The one with the stuff on the TDK Grip. Where did the thread go? Hunter?![]()
t:I Will Seriously Cry If They Can't Bring Back Morgan Freeman
According to other boards TDK has pushed back its filming to May instead of March. Any truth to this?
