Infinity War Captain America|Steve Rogers - Chris Evans

Is Thanos wincing in that gif though?

Maybe... the bigger question in my mind is...

Why doesn't Thanos just use his other hand to slap Captain America silly?

I mean, Steve is already struggling with one hand as it is. One right punch to the gut and the poor man could go down.

"Could"? There's no question Cap would go down and most likely die.

Iron Man with his Bleeding Edge armour takes a punch that seems to knock him out. A punch to the stomach fro Thanos would take out Cap for good. Only with vibranium abs he could resist such a thing. :woot: He is a human after all and there only so much stuff he can soak.

Also Thanos doesn't even swing the arm at Cap. He just goes to grab him.

A punch like this and it would be game over.

I have a crazy theory based on a supposed leak.

The leak says that visions infinity stone is removed in wakanda which does not kill him, it just weakens him. What if they remove the stone in order to try to have someone else use it against Thanos given that vision is too damaged from his earlier fight with the black order. And perhaps that shot of cap vs Thanos is actually cap powered up by an infinity stone embedded in his vibranium gauntlet shields.

I was just watching jimmy Fallon and thought Scott Eastwood looked surprisingly like Steve Rogers sporting the beard

Chris Evans needs to be cast as a Disney Prince. Maybe he can play Eric in a live action remake of The Little Mermaid or Sleeping Beauty. Plus he sings (I don't think Eric sings in The Little Mermaid).

I don't think Captain America is going to die in IW. He still needs to get his shield back. Howard Stark gave him the original shield. Now and according to Happy in Spider-Man: Homecoming, Tony Stark had the prototype for Caps new shield... It would be fitting that Tony Stark would be the one to give Cap his shield back. And i don't see it happening in IW. I think Cap gets a fancy new shield in A4.

What's the difference between Cap's original shield and the new prototype Happy mentions in Homecoming?

Which one will Tony give Rogers?

I have no idea. Maybe a energy projection shield.

The energy projection shield was my first thought too, but I'm not sure they'd go there. I'd be okay if they did, though!

Regarding Steve’s powers, I just see it as a natural evolution of what it’d truly be to be “peak human” at ALL aspects of human physiology. Speed records get broken and set by folks who dedicate their lives to that discipline, Strength records get broken and set by folks who dedicate themselves to THAT discipline, etc. realistically no human could do one optimally without sacrificing a bit from the other....
Therein lies where Cap, while being “peak human” is technically “superhuman”: he can do it all, and theoretically better than any other human on the planet. I’m sure his enhanced breathing and strength can feed into his increased speed (leg muscles and such) as well as his other abilities increasing the achievements that would otherwise limit a human who could only achieve so much, given their limits.
So yeah:
Steve’s Peak Human At everything.
That makes him Super Human.

Nothing that we didn't already knew.
Evans, Hemsworth, Downey Jr.... Their contracts are up and one way or another they have all said that they're done after IW and A4. I still wouldn't be surprised at all if some of them came back, in the future in some capacity with Marvel banking on their popularity once again and the prospect of the team coming together after a long hiatus.

As they said previously, some of the heroes are going to die and some will walk off into the sunset. I have little doubt that IM is going to die at some point in these 2 movies while Cap i see him retiring and Thor would walk off into the sunset as he has always done.

Thor retiring to be King of the remaining Asgardians I think is the safest end result of all.

Agreed. As he did in the Avengers and AoU i see him leaving Earth once again.

I wouldn't read much into it at this point. Still using the words "may" "might" etc. Even if he is done as Cap, we still at least got Avengers 4 with him yet!

But again, we don't know at this stage.

I agree. The wording was vague. I honestly believe Marvel is hoping we all keep the focus on Steve so they can turn around and surprise everyone later. Chris is a team player, he doesn't have a habit of giving away spoilers, he was one of the few who was allowed to read the entire script, there is no way his responses aren't scripted.

Crazy to think that he's played Cap in a movie every year since his debut, that's what 8 years now. Most of the other guys get a year off. I wonder if any other character will break that record down the line.
