I have to re-watch Iron Man 2 now, knowing that Senator Stern was a member of HYDRA all along

Man that scene where he whispers "hail hydra" was a nice WTF moment

Which makes it even scarier to think that they wanted the Iron Man tech so bad...

I remember seeing that Old Peggy set photo a long while back and was worried about it when she was about to appear onscreen, and my mind was pretty much blown. That phrase gets thrown around a lot, but I was actively looking for flaws or obvious CG movement and damned if I saw any. As someone mentioned, maybe her eyes could've been a little cloudier, but that's beyond nitpicking. They did a fantastic job with that, so big kudos to the FX house.

I can't stop thinking about this movie, love it soo much! Who are the jokers who gave it a 3 and a 4 on the poll! Arrrrrg!!!! lol

Yeah... basically HYDRA not only killed Tony's parents, and tried to shut-down/steal the Iron Man suit via the senate hearings, but apparently they also managed to convince him (under the guise of SHIELD) to let them use his Repulsor Tech for their Helicarrier fleet.

Man, Tony's gonna be mad when he learns it was all HYDRA. He doesn't like people touching his stuff.

I wonder if 'Galaga Guy' was a Hydra plant....?

He was secretly, methodically sapping all productivity from SHIELD
Diabolical!

Getting back to my point that TWS was the most BroYay! of any Marvel movie yet…

The Easter egg of Newman's Own sauce in Redford's fridge. :hrt:

A split second moment, and yet that was wonderful!

The Winter Soldier for me is one film where the huge hype is justified, I had high hopes and it exceeded them. Only special movies do that.

Spoiler:

Kevin Feige told me he is revealed to be the mastermind behind everything in Phase 4.

8/10. it wasnt just a good Marvel movie. it was a good movie in general.

I want to like pretty much everyone's post here!

This movie makes me love the rest of the world. I'm *struggling* with myself to hold out on any future viewings until it comes out on Blu-Ray. I don't want to burn out on it too much, and I don't want my hubs thinking I'm MORE insane over Cap than I already am LOL!

This movie is really brilliantly written. It works on so many levels: A straight up sequel to the first, a self contained story and it ties itself BRILLIANTLY together with the rest of the MCU all the while never feeling like anything less than it's own film or too confusing for the casual audience.

Bringing back Senator Stern was an awesome trick...but I just realized while catching Thor on FX that Sitwell was in that film too! And to that I literally exclaimed :"Damn Cap 2 is a good movie!"

Sorry Joss, I think the Russo Bros got you beat on the script level with this one. You better bring your A-Game from AOU.

Sitwell has in Thor. He was in a One-Shot with Coulson in a diner where they retconned the end of TIH. He was in the Avengers as well .... and if I'm not mistaken, AOS.

I don't remember him being in Avengers. Don't watch AOS.

All this just further confirms how clever Cap 2 is. :yay:

To be honest I haven't kept up with the One-Shots, they never interested me. Now I gotta give them a go.

The AoS episode last week had Sitwell in it and it showed him receiving the call to the ship where Batroc fought Cap. He's also been in a few other episodes.

Item 47 will probably have to be watched in a different light now.

He's the guy running the cell phone sweeps trying to track Loki. Banner then recommends a gamma tracking algorithm and once they find in Germany they send Cap in.

Makes you wonder how differently the actor would have played the part if he had known he was HYDRA.
