Captain Britain and MI-13

I could totally see myself living in the UK. I already live adjacent to San Francisco, so I'm used to crappy weather.

From CBR issue 13 review

I've been calling it for years Blade is a Jinx. The character kills every comic his in and in this one he was actually been written better than he has in since his Tomb Of Dracula days. Blade can't catch a break.

Damn no wonder comics are dying when even the good ones can't sell.

I started reading the book mostly because I was a fan of The Black Knight and I'm glad I did. This series has been one of the best reads around. This news surprises and saddens me.

We dont always have **** weather....
Neither does San Francisco, but I'm used to the occasional overcast, rain, and unrelenting fog. Especially during the winter. I don't know who the hell said "it never rains in California," but that idiot never set foot in the San Francisco Bay Area between the months of October and April.

The line is, "It never rains in southern California". You live in northern California. Big difference....though not really.

I lived in Wales for four months. It was awesome and the weather wasn't that bad at all.

I like Wales. They have those visit wales commercials on Tv in england at the moment. I've never been to Scotland and some how I get the feeling from my scottish friends down here in London that I'm not missing much.

Then if I ever get hooked on Smack, i'm gonna go where everybody knows my name and are always glad I came. Scotland!

What's the deal with England and, well, everybody else in the worlds love of Football? (We call it soccer here, but, I think football fits far more than what we call football, which would probably be more American Rules Rugby) It's f**king boring and the only good parts is when the fans get into a brawl. (Not unlike watching NASCAR for the crashes.)

Hahaha.

I tend to watch football, like I watch any sports. It's something to drink to with friends.

Your sports are boring, i watched an American Football match once and id been watching it for half an hour and they only had 10 minutes of game time on the clock.......:oldrazz:

Soccer or football is good if you watch a good side who plays attractive football like Arsenal or Barcelona. They tend to score alot more goals as well.

Sports are more of a cultural thing anyway. Most Americans enjoy Baseball, Basketball, American Football because they are their national sports and a part of their culture. Like the Super bowl is a big deal to americans.

Same goes with football (soccer) its a part of our culture as it is in europe, south america and africa (soccers got huge in africa over the last couple of decades). When the world cup is on most countries basically stop whatever they are doing and watch the game.

More Americans would like soccer if they showed shows like Soccer Am and Match Of The Day in the US.

I hate pretty much all sports, so the sports part of the culture wars don't affect me. :)
Why Scotland???
I'm not gonna lie: I like the accent. If I could be surrounded by that accent every day, life would be good (or at least better than being surrounded by southern drawls all day). :)

I actually like overcast days. I feel happier when the sky is grayish and the temperature is a bit balmy. I really like jackets, so that may have something to do with it. I'm always in a better mood when I can wear a nice, comfy jacket.

I Like my accent........:cwink:

Must be nice. The American accent is like the bastard stepchild of all the other English (the language, not you guys specifically) accents.

Like the English, the American accent differs depending on where you come from and what race you are. For instance, white people from Chicago talk like those dudes from the Chicago Bears skits on Saturday Night Live. Black folks from New York talk completely different from black folks in say, L.A. You got the southern accent which changes depending on where you're from. And you got that weird Swedish derived "Doncha Know" accent from the people in Minnesota or the Dakotas. Me? I've always liked the old school Georgia accent myself. You know, the one that sounds like Fog Horn Leg Horn? Yeah, that one.

Most variations of the American accent annoy me. The only one I think I genuinely like is the hardcore Bostonian accent like the dudes on Car Talk have.
