Daft Punk should be used in the trailer if not then Daft Punk should be on the Captain Marvel soundtrack

One of Daft Punk's songs that they used in Tron Legacy you can reuse that song for Captain Marvel

Or even use David Bowie for Captain Marvel's soundtrack

Because that's the standard time to start filming a movie of that size with its release date.
I guess you're right. Brie was cast like what 7 months ago. And probably had to get into shape for filming IW and then this film.

Just hate all the waiting.

BTW do you guys think Rhodey might make a cameo in this? Whether as a treat for the fans or something more? I doubt he'd have a large role since he's so tied into Iron Man and too old for Larson to play as a love interest. Maybe as simply a well respected-mentor.

I don't think Brie was cast early to get in shape or anything. I think she was cast early because she was very much in-demand after her Oscar win, was lining up projects, and they figured they'd probably need her for a film before her own (Infinity War), so they needed to lock her down.

Otherwise, they would've waited until they'd hired a director first.

Treat for the fans? No, those are actual actors being paid millions for their appearances. This isn't jack Kirby drawning a character for 10 panels. Unless there is a significant reason for him showing up, you won't see.

I was surprised when I read how little actors get paid for brief cameos. I don't remember the details, but it was in the thousands....and pretty low thousands. I don't remember the details, but want to say somewhere between 10-25?? I suppose it depends on the actor, but I think the above was for a pretty well known actor. Anyone know?

RDJ made $500,000 for Iron Man, Chris Evans made $300,000 for The First Avenger, Chris Hemsworth made $200,000 for Thor etc.

You're not going to command silly money for only a cameo unless you're a proven superstar.

It can depend entirely on who the actor is or what is in their contract. If the actor is enthusiastic or is just really good friends with the creative team or someone in the cast, they might even work for scale (the minimum rate).

So yeah, it is really unlikely a brief Rhodey cameo would cost Marvel "millions of dollars." Whether or not it's necessary to the plot is another thing, of course.

Well... I do want to see him in more stuff.

Nikolaj Coster-Waldau sucks at auditioning apparently. He talkes about how isn't very good at auditioning in interviews.

Like most actors Coster-Waldau has auditioned for tons of movies over the years and loses out when he becomes a front runner because he messes up auditions.

Coster-Waldau was the favorite to star in Vertical Limit. Columbia pictures flew him out to LA from Denmark for a final audition. Coster-Waldau said he flubbed the audition and they gave the role to their second choice Chris O'Donnell instead.

Nikolaj Coster-Waldau screen tested for Crossbones for Marvel.

Oh that's a shame, and a bit of a surprise. Crossbones wouldn't have been much of a role for him but maybe that's why someone that good hasn't been in more high profile roles. Hope he breaks his audition curse soon and we see him in a load more cool stuff when GoT has finished which should clear out his schedule a fair bit.

At this point all of Hollywood has seen Game of Thrones, so he's also probably getting more direct offers and not having to audition as much anyway.

This discussion has also reminded me, back in the days before GoT (around 2008-ish), he was my top pick for Thor. So I guess I've been trying to get him on this Marvel train for quite some time now, lol.

Didnt know NCW screentested for Crossbones, although I do remember him being linked to Zemo, which wouldve been a great fit for a more canonical take on the character imo.

I would assume he is getting offered parts without auditioning. Most of the main GoT cast have got offers off the back of the show's popularity.

Nikolaj Coster-Waldau would make a pretty good Yon-Rogg.

Hard to imagine Coster-Waldau was 1st choice for Vertical Limits. It was a 75 million dollar film back in 2000. Basically a big budget film. Chris O'Donnell was a semi A-list star so it makes sense he'd be among top choices for the role. Just very hard to believe they'd have cast CW in the lead considering he was practically an unknown back then.

I agree. Cheadle only got 1 million for Iron Man 2 and probably double that/triple for the sequel.

So if he got a cameo it'd probably be 250 500 K at best. Or a supporting role maybe a million or 2.

I would love to see him in the movie.

Can't wait to see him in the suit! Who's Brie Larson..?

Is this the first indication of Sam Jackson being in the movie?

Taking over completely is probably the first or second indication. That's good though, as I don't think Brie Larson could play a convincing woman as well as Jackson can.
