Also, SKRULLS! Have to think Secret Wars are going to be the next big thing after IW.

Wow this movie will be set in the 90s so for sure a prequel and Skrulls are the villains.

This will be very interesting to see what happen to her. I guess this is why Fury mentioned Stark not being the only hero in the world.

Secret Invasion, not Wars (or Empire or War ).

Anyway, that's a great (if unexpected) plan. It still leaves plenty of room for Mar-Vell if they wanted him (provided they're not still worried about Green Lantern comparisons).

My bet is the latter with her making her first appearance when she's freed in the present in IW or wherever.

Love that they kept the sash/belt for the costume. They could have easily done away with it, but this is Marvel after all.

I like this. If that's the case, I bet she gets freed at the end of Part 1.

I also just realized something: If it's set in the 90's, and the Battle of NY is literally the 1st alien invasion of Earth on record, then I think Carol's origin will indeed be set in space. She'll either be an astronaut or some SWORD-esque equivalent who gets captured and sucked into the Kree/Skrull conflict (and ends up fighting for the Kree??).
