I'm guessing the first footage will be shown at SDCC. Now whether or not WE will get to see that footage...depends on how sneaky the attendees are with their phones this year.

SDCC sounds about right. We might have to wait a bit longer though. It's usually 5-6 months prior to release so September or October is my best guess

September is my guess. October is usually when we get the 1st trailers for the Marvel releases in April/May, so hopefully that means we'll get this one a little earlier than that. But not much earlier because its filming schedule is just over a month later than the norm, so they might need it to come a little later for fx work. I think we'll get a Captain Marvel trailer in September, and an A4 trailer in November.

Interesting little fact that she was only 1 year old when Marvel created Carol Danvers in 1968. She's a Brigadier General now.

I haven't read the original Ms. Marvel series, but my understanding (from the flashbacks in X-Men) was that she was a legitimate Air Force pilot. That's kind of cool for Marvel's Air Force to be ahead of its time.

I would say we will get our first trailer with Ant-Man and the Wasp, given it's the last MCU film of the year.

If I remember an article from (I think) ScreenRant (or was it one of the other sites?) they had to do some early filming in January in order to maintain some tax breaks/credits (whatever?) they got for filming in California (they needed to film within 180 days or something of being awarded the tax breaks)... if they had held off until this month, they would have lost them. So they got in a bit of early filming, then went on hiatus (which they were allowed to do, but couldn't go over 120 days of no filming or something) and then have resumed/started principal filming.

(someone is free to correct me if I'm wrong on those details - I'm at work and so can't really go digging for the articles at the moment)

They shot some in January to take adavantage of a tax break situation, took a break and just resumed filming yesterday.

EDIT: Silvermoon is correct.

As for the suit, I like it just fine as the not-final suit, lol.

Today I learned about Jeannie Leavitt who was the first female Air Force Pilot. She joined in 1992 and was involved in patrolling the Iraqi No-Fly Zone in the 90s. I wonder if any of that will be an inspiration for Carol Danvers.

Would be cool if she is appear in the movie or is at least mentioned.
Maybe that is why the movie is in the 90's - to have Carol as one of the first female jet pilots?
Or maybe they just wants to fill the empty space in MCU timeline.
