The MCU hasn't done a great job with making non-powered/civilian love interests all that believable/compelling however (Pepper excluded).

True, but other superhero movies did. Not to mention that the Natasha/Bruce relationship wasn't exactly compelling, either.

Today I learned about Jeannie Leavitt who was the first female Air Force Pilot. She joined in 1992 and was involved in patrolling the Iraqi No-Fly Zone in the 90s. I wonder if any of that will be an inspiration for Carol Danvers.

I think it's possible she could be trapped IN the Soul Stone (or rather, Soul World) like Adam Warlock and Gamora were at one time.

I mean we know it's not THE costume, so I'm not bothered by it. It's perfectly adequate for a basic Kree flight suit or something, imo.

Interesting little fact that she was only 1 year old when Marvel created Carol Danvers in 1968. She's a Brigadier General now.

Even design wise it's pretty bad though just very bulky and not flattering. Even the color green they chose was just not good or flattering for the actress. Her hair would look better up too.

We haven't even seen it on camera yet. These complaints sound like the ones I remember seeing about the Black Panther suit from the Civil War setpics.

I didn't like his costume in Civil War regardless of if I saw it on screen (loved in his solo movie though). I hope this isn't the same situation.

Fair enough. I thought it looked great in CW, and while I wouldn't want her final costume to look like this, I doubt this costume will look bad in the film, either.

Yeah, judging a costumes look based solely on pap/set photos is an amateur mistake. One people always seem to make.

Plus it's obviously not the final costume.

Same thing with the new X-Men costumes and the Shazam one too. I agree it might be improved upon but the design aesthetic just doesn't work for me in general. It would be like putting lipstick on a pig. She looks amazing in the candid when she's in her flight gear but her face looks washed out in that green color. It is pretty bad and I doubt lighting and vfx will change the fact that it looks unflattering on her.

I’m 100% certain the costume will look amazing by the time the film happens. I hope people weren’t expecting the g-string look.

I wonder when a trailer will be ready? It always surprises me how quickly marvel can knock one up
