For an alternate Spiderman casting what about Ryan Potter: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm3994407/

He voiced Hiro in Big Hero 6. Obviously voice acting is different to live action, but he's got ties with disney, experience playing a young, science-savy superhero (with comedic elements) and he knows martial arts.

For Spidey's MCU solo debut I'd like to see Kraven The Hunter as the villain. Maybe Karl Urban? http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0881631/

Loved him in Star Trek and Lotr, he can do tough from Dredd. He's an actor who needs more love.

For the Green Goblin I think Bryan Cranston would kill it: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0186505/?ref_=nv_sr_1

I really want to see him in the MCU, he'd make a great villain. He deserves a big role, he has the gravitas to be a recurring villain as good as, if not greater than Loki. And Cranston's got that comedic talent as well which works well with the MCU.

If Jaden is Spider-Man I want Gal Gadot for Aunt May.

See? I can make stupid casting decisions too! :o

So he had one mediocre movie. how does that make him one of the worst actors?

Daddario is use to playing someone alot younger then her real age. How is that a problem?

Even if she plays younger, she still looks considerably older than Smith. She looks like a grown woman. He looks like he's still a boy.

Rumor on twitter...

Studio still trying to decide who moves on to the next round of Spidey casting. Currently trying to decide whether Jaden Smith or a weathered pine 4x4 makes it to the quarterfinals of auditions

a 4x4 made of weathered pine wood

Weathered Pine is the new Captain Kirk when he's in his old age.

I actually really like the idea of Cranston playing Osbourne, however as much as I love Urban I feel like he'd be a better Mysterio than Kraven. The perfect Kraven imo would be Viggo Mortenson or Ian McShane. Jackie Earle Haley for Cletus Cassidy, Sly Stallone for Hammerhead. Luke Evans for The Punisher who should show up in Spider-Man or Daredevil as a villiain. Of course JK Simmons IS Jameson, I except no one else! Mark Wahlberg as Eddie Brock, David Duchovny as Doc Ock.

people are too quickly to jump on casting Bryan Cranston for any bad guy role nowadays. He's great, one of my favorite actors ever. But Norman Osborn he is not

As someone who is presently going through the last season of Breaking Bad for the first time, I whole hardly disagree!

So my cast for some characters.
Peter Parker/Asa Butterfield
Harry Osbourne/Will Poulter
Norman Osbourne/Tim Robbins
Doc Ock/David Duchovny
Kraven/Viggo Mortenson or Ian McShane
Mysterio/Karl Urban
Hammerhead/Sly Stallone
The Punisher/Luke Evans
Cletus Cassidy/Jackie Earle Haley
Eddie Brock/Mark Wahlberg
JJ Jameson/JK Simmons

I'd much rather save Bryan Cranston for Comissioner Gordon.

It's too bad Aaron Paul is too old. It would be cool to see him as Harry and Cranston as Norman!

I would accept Cranston if they decided he was the right choice, but Aaron Paul? he doesn't have that much range, he plays the "punk mixed in with the wrong crowd" type very well but other than that...

In addition to Breaking Bad, I've seen him in Need For Speed and the Exodus movie. His presence in the latter was really friggin jarring. Though that might be because he's clearly not an Egyptian
