Lee R Ermey for JJ?
![]()
I could see this working very well!
My fan cast for the first movie.
Dylan O'Brien - Peter Parker / Spider-Man
Freddie Highmore - Harry Osborn
J. K. Simmons - J. Jonah Jameson
Taron Egerton - Flash Thompson
Ron Perlman - Tombstone
Jason Isaacs - Norman Osborn
David Morrissey - Otto Octavius / Doctor Octopus
I love these!
Haley Lu Richardson - Gwen Stacy
I haven`t ever heard of her. Is she good?
Helen Mirren - Aunt May
I really like Mirren, but I`m afraid she is a bit too badass and confident to play sweet, calm, granny-like Aunt May. I`m not even saying she couldn`t pull it off, I just wouldn`t be able to disassociate kick-ass Mirren from May.
Joel McHale - Herman Schultz / Shocker
AnnaSophia Robb - Betty Brant
Garret Dillahunt - Daniel Gallow / Ricochet
I haven`t seen them enough to give any insight.
Eddie Murphy - Robbie Robertson
This is a big no for me. While I like Murphy, Robbie is supposed to be the fatherly, authoritive, straight man to JJJ`s crazy irascible self, so getting a comedic actor to do it just seems like a bad idea. I would like to see the likes of Dennis Haysbert and Andre Braugher.
Bianca A. Stamos - Liz Allen
I can`t find this Stamos girl on Google. What has she done?
Jeffrey Wright - Raymond Bloch / Ox
I feel that Wright has too much of an intellectual air to him to play Ox. At least I have yet to see him play anything less than smart. That being said, the man has presence, and I would love him in a Marvel movie. Just not as Ox.
Kaya Scodelario - Mary Jane Watson
I would say no to this as well, since I think she can`t pull off MJ`s charming and lively personality (God forbid another Kirsten Dunst), but I have only ever seen her in the Maze Runner. Has she done anything else in which she is less bland?
Harry Lloyd - Eddie Brock / Venom
This is another no for me. While I really like Lloyd, Brock is a big unintelligent brawny fellow, which is way out of Lloyd`s comfort zone. He doesn`t really look much like the character either.
Charles Dance - Adrian Toomes / Vulture
I would love that, but I would like Dance as Silvermane even more. Since I expect Kingpin to be offed by Daredevil, Silvermane being the Underground Big Bad makes sense, and there`s no one I would rather see than Charles Dance in the role. Back to Vulture, I would re-use Colm Feore.
Alan Tudyk - Flint Marko / Sandman
This is another "no". Flint Marko is a brawny street criminal, while Tudyk`s best used when he`s got a conniving, scheming role to play. Besides, Tudyk is a very small guy and is perhaps getting to old to pass as the brawn.
Manu Bennet - Alex O'Hirn / Rhino
Same thing. Bennet is great, but to waste him as big stupid henchman Rhino is a bad idea. I would rather have him as a big threat, such as a menacing, plotting Kraven.

Was supposed to be Bianaca A Santos. I'll go sit in the corner for a while... It was late, in my defense
I think the expression you are looking for is "up and coming".
Though I really think Kingpin will be mainly a Daredevil bad guy. Spidey has lots of other important foes, but Daredevil`s nemesis is Kingpin.
