Well if it's between the 19 yrs olds. I would expect if it's one of them that rest of midtown cast likely be 18 to 22 range.

What are the chances of MJ doing some surfing if she's played by AnnaSophia?

Well, let`s give this a shot! I`ll try to balance out big names with not-so-famous actors, since we are pretending to cast a movie on a workable budget.

Peter Parker - Charlie Rowe (age 19)

Aunt May - Meryl Streep (clichéd, I know)

Uncle Ben - Bill Murray

About Peter`s classmates, I thought of waiting until college to introduce the usual suspects (Harry, MJ and Gwen). We could use his HS time to build the relationship between Peter and Flash, as well as having Liz Allen on the screen for the first time.

Flash Thompson - Connor Jessup (age 20, Falling Skies)

Liz Allen - no idea. I would like some suggestions.

J Jonah Jameson - JK Simmons

Robbie Robertson - Dennis Haysbert (24)

Captain Stacy - Andy Buckley (The Office, also Jurassic World as a loving father)

Norman Osborn - Jason Isaacs

Besides Norman, I`d like to see other "Big Bad". In this case, Silvermane, with Silver Sable as his main enforcer.

Silver Sable - Rosamund Pike (Gone Girl)

Silvermane - Charles Dance (The Imitation Game)

Daedalus, that's some seriously great casting.

Charles Dance should be the Vulture. He not only looks like him, but would bring a ton of gravitas to the role and make him even more menacing even without his wings on.

And if you tie him into the Falcon as the guy who invented that flying tech, then it would all be connected.

And remember how Eddie Murphy kept annoying Charles Dance in the Golden Child with his Brother Numsy? Well, imagine Spider-Man doing something similar with Charles Dance as the Vulture.

That's some god-tier casting right there, DR. An excellent suggestion, man!

Thanks. If you had Charles Dance in a Spidey movie as Vulture, and he had a scene with Vincent D'Onofrio's Kingpin, imagine the acting fireworks.

Dance wouldn't even need to have put on his flight suit yet to be extremely intimidating. He would look like the iconic version of the character yet would definitely avoid making Vulture seem like a joke.

Completely agreed. Dance is a hell of an actor. :highfive: That said, if we've learned anything from TASM, it's that Dance would still need a really well-written Vulture to get the maximum potential out of the character too.

Charles Dance as villain in the MCU. That's some great casting.

Amazing actor with a captivating air of ruthlessness and cunning.

I think Charles Dance as Silvermane would be a bit of a waste, as I imagine that role would be more like Leyland Owlsley in DD. I think he would be better served as Adrian Toomes.

And having Vulture could allow for a cameo by Anthony Mackie as Sam Wilson.

I may not agree on pushing back Gwen and Harry, but that's a great cast, Daedledus! Charles Dance as Silvermane would be terrific! (Though now I've got to go find a new MCU role for Morgan Freeman). I don't think it would be a waste at all, depending on what happens between now and then on Daredevil with Fisk. Unless he makes a comeback by 2017, Silvermane is the best bet for the top dog in NYC's mobs.

Also agree with Daedalus on keeping MJ and Gwen Stacy etc. until later on, perhaps even after the HS trilogy. I want these movies to have no love story. It should just be PP adjusting to life with powers, balancing power and responsibility and simply just being the HS kid behind the mask. There's no need to introduce love interests yet.

However, I do think Harry should be in the film. You can't have Norman Osborne without his son and PP+Harry come hand in hand. Best way to show HS life would be to have a supporting cast of Harry, Flash and Liz. Maybe even throw Sally Avril into the mix. Really like your casting of Connor Jessup as Flash btw, think he'd be great.

Some alternative casting options:
Aunt May - Jaime Lee Curtis (she would be fun; would be a welcome source of comedy vs. the previous two performances)

J. Jonah Jameson - Bob Odenkirk (As much as I love J.K. Simmons, I think it is time to move on)

Uncle Ben - Bruce Greenwood

Harry Osborne - Timothee Chalamet

Personally I rather do harry and gwen at the start. Allued to mj during first film. Like the comics or SSM did. And have may and Anna talk about mj. And peter keeps saying no. And then end the first solo film with the classic meeting. And then play off mj and gwen deal in sequels.

And I would go peter has curses on Liz or sally but they don't give him the time of day. But peter is just close to gwen and harry. And have it be gwen likes peter but peter doesn't see it. So we just have flirtation or crushes but no real romance in the first film.

I think that sets up the film to be too focused on romance. To me, that was the big flaw of ASM. Way too much focus on the romance (despite how amazing Stone and Garfield were) that there was little individual character development.

I want to see more Peter Parker. Not his love life. I want them to make use of the wonderful world of supporting characters that are NOT romantic interests. Flash, Harry, J.Jonah, Aunt May etc.
