Love this thread! Specially MarvelComix's casting challenges. Some of my dream casting choices: Clancy Brown as Thanos. After watching Carnivale I knew he'd be perfect for Thanos. Lake Bell as Jennifer Walters. I think she was born to play her. She's both gorgeous & tough. Nathan Fillion as Hank Pym. 'nuff said. Kristen Bell as Janet Van Dyne. A fantastic actress with great range & spunk, I think if cast she would pretty much own the role. The superb Alexander Skarsgard as Balder/Donald Blake. I figured Balder's absence in Thor indicates they're going the "Blake is Balder" route. Val Kilmer as MODOK. What can I say? It'd be great to see Kilmer's androidish mug in MODOK form. Bruce Greenwood as Reed Richards. Bruce Greenwood IS Reed Richards. Abbie Cornish as Sue Storm. Terrific actress. Joe Manganiello as Hercules. The guy looks mythical! I'd love to see him & Hemsworth clash. Ryan Kwanten as Johnny Storm. Can't think of a better fit.

Holt McCallany - The Punisher

Oscar Isaac - Doctor Strange

Charlie Day - Eric O'Grady

Rain - Shang-Chi

The whole point of this thread seems to be posting pictures...which I'm too lazy to do right now.

Still, beefing up the Avengers cast:

Ant-Man / Ultron (voice)- Nathan Fillion
Wasp- Kristen Bell
Vision- Doug Jones
Wonderman- John Hamm
Scarlet Witch- Olivia Wilde
Ms. Marvel- Yvonne Strahovski
Baron Zemo- Christoph Waltz
Enchantress- Alice Eve
The Executioner- Glenn "Kane" Jacobs (Please don't give me the No Wrestlers! argument...Skurge is a hulking thug who needs to be played by someone large.)
Kang / Immortus- Liam Neeson

I've never been good at casting...

- Clancy Brown would make a fitting Thanos.
- I've thought about Jennifer Carpenter for She-Hulk, but after seeing Lake Bell's Maxim photoshoot, her body couldn't have convinced me further that she'd make an excellent She-Hulk. Plus she's very funny.
- Nathan Fillion is good as Ant-Man. Though I like Colin Ferguson after watching Eureka.
- Kristen Bell doesn't do it for me that much. She's better off in comedy land. But I've been partial to actresses like Autumn Reeser and Ginnifer Goodwin.
- I think Mr. Fantastic can be middle-aged, but not to the point where he doesn't have the right physique. Then again, I don't know much about Bruce Greenwood at all. But everyone has been partial to Alexis Denisoff. Seeing as he and Matt Dillon - my choice for Thing - are in the same age bracket, it wouldn't hurt.
- Ryan Kwanten is perfect for Johnny Storm, but maybe 10 years ago. Let's try someone in their late 20's-early 30's.

Holt McCallany - The Punisher

Oscar Isaac - Doctor Strange

Charlie Day - Eric O'Grady

Rain - Shang-Chi

All around great picks. I could easily see Charlie as Eric O'Grady. His character in IASIP (you know the abbreviation) is somewhat similar to the character. But I'm holding out for him to play Weasel in a Deadpool movie.

Kang / Immortus- Liam Neeson

I've never been good at casting...

- Already gone over about Ant-Man and Wasp.
- Jon Hamm may be too old and not built right.
- I've stated before, I'd like someone with a more authoritative voice play Ms. Marvel, like Kristanna Loken. Yvonne would make a great Mockingbird, but what do I know?
- Alice Eve can pull out surprises. Especially in She's Out of My League. Who knows, she could slay as Enchantress.
- I see you borrowed my pick for Kang/Immortus.

I've been pushing for Kristen Bell for a while. She seems like an obvious choice, though I see Mary Elizabeth Winstead actually getting the role for various reasons.

Yvonne was originally my Sharon Carter choice (and imo, would've been much better than Amanda Righetti), I just sort of transferred her to the nearest character. Mockingbird would be a great choice though, you're right.

Actually, if you search my old posts, I picked Liam Neeson for Kang/ Immortus in 2007 or 2008, complete with side by sides of them. Glad to see someone agrees with me though.

Too many similarities to pass it up; great actor, right height/build right age, looks just like Kang unmasked/ Immortus, can use a sword...he's seriously perfect for the role.

- I know Ms. Marvel was supposed to be young when starting out in the Avengers. But that's a no to Amber Heard.
- I heard Michael Shanks' name pop up as Ant-Man. I could see that somehow.
- I gotta say, Fillion as Wonder Man is an inspired choice!
- Nice choice for Black Knight. I see the stars of Alphas are getting their due.
- Glad someone agrees with me on Yvonne Strahovski for the role of Mockingbird.
- Paul and Lyndsy do bear a resemblance, so I'll give you points. But after axelbratoski went through a challenge, I'd like Rosie Huntington-Whitely as Scarlet Witch.
- While I'm glad alot people aren't giving Megan Fox the cold shoulder (though that Marilyn Monroe story is even making her hardcore fans scratch their heads), I don't see her as Spider-Woman. But if there's one thing that can save this world from an overflow of gay nightclub tunage disguised as contemporary music, it's Megan donning a flawless British accent. Just as long as Marvel gets the rights back to Spider-Man (because I think Spider-Woman is part of the Spider-Man universe, from what I've been told). To me, Megan is X-23 in my eyes. She's practically the visual likeness (I may hold a fundraiser for people with body dysmorphic disorder, because Megan used to look good, but now...)

- Not sure how to feel about Bradley James as Captain Britain. But he's British, so I can't argue.
- I'm more a fan of Dominic Purcell as Hercules. Purcell is British, so it gives an aura to Herc.
- I like K.D. Aubert as Photon. I read the bio of the superhero, and the character came from New Orleans, as did Aubert. With the precise height going for her, she's perfect.
- Tahmoh Penikett would be suitable for Cyclops, since he bears a similar look to the first cover of the New X-Men comics.
- Your pick for Iceman is far too old, pal.
- I don't see that girl playing Jean.
- I've got news: Evanna Lynch as Wolfsbane. 5'2", curvaceous, and pretty much matches the voice suited for the character.

- Lovely actress you chosen for Dani Moonstar.
- Who's playing Falcon, Wasp, Sersi, Black Panther, Storm, Rogue, X-23, Cannonball

Everything else is good.

Anthony Montgomery from Enterprise is Falcon

Rebecca Herbst is the Wasp. One of the best little know actresses out there and she's the spitting image of the wasp I grew up with and the new cartoon version.

Sersi is one of the Girls from Alphas.

Same for Rogue. Forget their names right now.

Tyson Beckford from Into the Blue is my Black Panther

X-23 is Heather Hemmens from Hellcats. I saw her in an independant movie before and she's a better actress than you would think and she has the physical abilities to pull off a character like X-23

Storm is Denise Vasi. I liked her in The Good Guy.

I have to dissagree about Weatherly being too old for Iceman. He should be the same age as the rest of the original team and he matches the other actors choosen. If any thing my Jean Grey is a little young but I like her for the part.

- I remember Rebecca Herbst. She was on Space Cases back when I was young. Good pick, I hear she's pretty young right now, so I can agree.
- I also remembering Hellcats. Alyson Michalka needs to be tossed around here for diverse roles other than Dazzler, because I think she is incredibly talented for what it's worth, and has a body that effectively shrouds her fake boobs (unless they're real) and odd face.
- Vasi was also on All My Children. Good call.
- Here's the deal: Iceman is the youngest of the original team. His present-day age should be around his 20's to 30's. For me, I like Shia LaBeouf as Iceman. I've restated many times that he's the right height, can play cocky and jokey, and is Jewish. JUST LIKE ICEMAN!

TMT I commented on your Avengers in the other thread. I like your x-men choices as well. Really like Michelle Krusiec for Psylocke.

Sorry but I don't think I know any of your new mutant choices other than the True Blood girl and I'm not sure if I like her for that role.

My candidates for Hank and Janet.

Simon Baker as Ant-Man (Hank Pym)

Ashley Greene as the Wasp

Iceman was raised in a non-religious home. His mother his Jewish, but his father is Irish Catholic.

(*technically Judaism is passed from mothers, not from fathers, but this is a rather moot point since his religious affliations are entirely subtextual).

Stacy Keibler for Ms. Marvel.

Simply because...
