I'm not sure if Blake Lively should be playing any geniuses for a while. After Green Lantern, she's in the ****hole.

As for Sarah Chalke... who is Bang-Bang? Don't you mean Boom-Boom? If so, you did a good job switching to someone younger like AJ Michalka, since she has that bleach-blonde, valley girl mentality, perfect for when she gets drafted into Nextwave.

X-Men Recast -

80111992.png

probably one of the coolest casts I've ever seen. I've been doing an X-Men for CBM.com, but you should upload this one to that site to give me some inspiration and drive to match yours.

- Colin Firth as Professor X (Why?)
- Patrick Wilson as Cyclops (Excellent!)
- Emily Blunt as Jean Grey (I see her more as Scarlet Witch, but that's me.)
- Josh Brolin as Wolverine (Josh might be too old for Wolverine. Still, I could be wrong, who knows?)
- Naomie Harris as Storm (Can't go wrong wit' that!)
- Andy Serkis as Beast (He would be good for the movements of Beast, but I feel more comfortable with a voice actor to go with that. What do you think of Kiefer Sutherland.)
- Joe Mazello as Iceman (Tim Murphy, eh?)
- Mike Vogel as Angel (A tough one here, because even though Mike was gonna play Angel before Ben Foster stepped in, I haven't seen him in anything that would make him eligible for the role of a world-famous CEO of a company. I think he'd work as Iceman, but that's me talking. What do you think of Trevor Donovan as Angel; he plays a similar role on 90210.)
- Jaime Bell as Nightcrawler (After seeing Tintin this past Wednesday, Jaimie seems more suited for a "Disney Character Gone Twisted" character like Nightcrawler than psycho killer Pyro.)
- Anna Kendrick as Shadowcat and Jared Padalecki as Colossus (Unless your X-Men universe takes place during the current comic book universe, you may need younger blood. For the younger versions, I like Liam Hemsworth/Armie Hammer as Colossus, and Ashley Rickards/Olivia Thirlby for the roles, at least for the younger and older versions. Even though I'm planning to use Hammer and Thirlby for my cast, but oh well. Your picks are fine enough!)
- Abbie Cornish as Rogue (Well, if it weren't for Sucker Punch, I'd be against this choice.)
- Sean Bean as Magneto (Sounds fair.)
- Olga Kurylenko as Mystique (Call me nuts, but isn't Mystique of American heritage?)
- Charlie Day as Toad (Ho! Amazing! I prefer him as Weasel for a Deadpool movie, but you've struck gold.)
- Josh Holloway as Sabretooth (Even if he had a sociopathic attitude in Lost, Holloway never struck me as a serial killer. Plus, we need a brick ****house at 6'6". Holloway's a good pick for Ghost Rider, while I somehow lean towards Dolph Lundgren as Sabretooth. Why? Watch Universal Soldier and The Expendables, and come back to me in the morning.)

By the way, where'd you get the shots of the X-Men, may I ask? I find generic pics on these other sites.

Thanks for the comments MarvelComix!

I think he'd bring a nice warmth and intelligence to the role. Plus I didn't want to cast a bald guy.

Serkis has a great voice! His Smeagol / Gollum is incredible and the few lines he had in Planet of the Apes were very powerful.

Ha ha, yes!

Mystique is a sexy blue lady who can transform into anyone, I don't think heritage matters.

Dolph can't play Sabretooth, silly. Every one knows he is Omega Red!

Mostly Google Images, but ComicVine is a great resource for comic book pictures.

Well, he has the correct height necessary, so I can't argue.

Serkis is undeniable. But to me, we need someone who has the jock look, but the genius attitude, and I don't think he has it. As far as movements are concerned, I'll agree with you there.

Ha ha, yes!

:yay:

Well, yeah, there's that.

Buddy, if he's getting cast for roles meant for younger actors, then I'm sure he can play Sabretooth. No fear.

Well, I noticed some pictures that didn't come from those sites.

- Josh Brolin as Wolverine (Josh might be too old for Wolverine. Still, I could be wrong, who knows?)

You don't know anything about Wolverine, do you?

He's over 100 years old. It's impossible for an actor to be 'too old' for Wolverine. :yay:

I can't tell if you're being sarcastic or not, no offense. I'm aware of Wolverine's slow aging process, I watched the movies and did some research online. I'm just saying that, despite him being 100, Wolverine has the body of someone in his mid-to-late 30's. So unless Josh Brolin is like Joseph Fiennes in Camelot and can do acrobatics in his 40's, a more apt choice would be someone like Christian Kane, Jon Bernthal, or Stephen Dorff.

By the way, casting challenge: Which role would you cast for Eva Ammuri. Here is a hot shot of her.

Eva Amurri, eh? For some reason, I can see her as Sin (as long as she dyes her hair red).

She looks a bit too nice to play Sin. Sin needs to have that really crazy look, the sort of look of someone who pulls the wings off flies.

Don't think I've seen her in anything but with right hair-do maybe Rogue?

Also, Jamie Bell as Nightcrawler and Charlie Day as Toad are inspired choices.

That's why it's called acting, deary.

I personally just like going for some picks that are a little unexpected or playing against type (like Heath Ledger and the Joker kinds of things). I'd like to see Eva as Sin so (shrugs).

I was talking to a freind the other day and she said she thought Jewel Staite would have been a better Pepper Potts:

Eva Ammuri would make an interesting Sin. She played a good manipulative sociopath in Californication. Whoever thought of Rogue didn't slouch either, I thought about using that same choice for my X-Men cast over at CBM.com, but I've been leaning towards Amber Heard. She played a feisty and tough southern bell on Drive Angry.

I found some more interesting choices after watching some shows on Netflix.

Madeleine Martin as Gertrude Yorkes

Her character on 'Californication' reminded me alot of Gertrude Yorkes' intelligence and biting sarcasm.

Joseph Fiennes as Raza Longknife
joseph-fiennes-camelot.jpg

His look as Merlin in 'Camelot' is very similar to Raza Longknife's. Just give him that doo-hickey on his head, and he'd work wonders.

Brian Steele (performer)/Matt Stone as Blob

Saw Brian mentioned on HailToTheKingBaby's fancast for X-Men on CBM.com. He's got the gigantic look, now all he needs is a convincing fat suit. And Matt Stone dons a convincing obese voice whenever he voices the fatter characters on 'South Park', something useful for voicing Blob.

Katie McGrath as Scarlet Witch
katiemcgrath280_1123547a.jpg

I think I might've found a reliable choice for Scarlet Witch. While Dublin-born, Katie reminded me quite a bit of Wanda when her character in 'Merlin' clashed with Uther Pendragon on random occasions. She can play tough, but also naive, caring, and contemplative of deciding which side she should stand on. Basically, she'd nail a live-action representation of the character from 'Wolverine and the X-Men'.

Eva Green as Hela
eva-green-20060424-124573.jpg

While I can see why Eva would be great for Scarlet Witch ('Perfect Senses'), to me, I just look at pictures and she has this look of pure evil. And after seeing axelbratoski's fancast for a 'Thor' sequel on CBM.com, him and I agreed that this would be the ideal role. Don't believe me? Put 'Camelot' on your Blockbuster/Netflix queue.
