Cast the Marvel Universe - Part 1

He seems to be a popular choice for a new Wolverine. Can he grow the proper hair though is the question lol. I think he is a pretty good actor, so I wouldn't mind seeing what he could do.

Yeah, Young Avengers has to decide if they really want young heroes or if Young Avengers would mean more like 'future avengers in training' so you aren't restricted to finding people who fit only a certain age group. There's only one Chloe Mortez who is that young and that badass.. can you find 5 or 6 others? Hard to do imho.

Okay, Young Avengers? I'll whip up something right now.

NOTE: Some of the choices starred in The Hunger Games (including Jennifer Lawrence, who's playing Mystique), but I think they'd fit the roles fine enough. Especially since they're young still.

Josh Hutcherson as Iron Lad

Alexander Ludwig as Hulkling

Andre Kinney as Patriot

Jennifer Lawrence as Hawkeye (I know she's Mystique, but I think she deserves a better, more physical role, especially one in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.)

Daniel Radcliffe as Speed (I was going for a different actor, but since Wiccan and Speed are twins, I might as well cast Radcliffe again)

Josh Hutcherson as Vision (Jonas) (Jonas is based on Iron Lad tech and Nathaniel Richards)

Will Smith as Isaiah Bradley (He was once considered for the role at one point.)

I don't care what studio its for, I think JK Simmons should be cast as JJ for all incarnations.

Besides Chloë Mortez as Kate Bishop? No. You have to cast pretty young actors and unless you don't want to go for some of those Disney babies, I say cast unknown talents.

Good point. But I see her as Stature.

My play-by-play of MarvelComix's Young Avengers cast.

- I kinda don't want this to be like "Hunger Games - Electric Bugaloo" but as long as the character dynamics are different enough it should be unique enough to stand on its own.

- Josh Hutcherson is an underrated actor. He would be great as Iron Lad.
- Alexander Ludwig is inspired casting for Hulkling! Nice!
- Daniel Radcliffe as Wiccan kinda feels like typecasting considering Harry Potter (I will never forgive JKR for how horrible Deathly Hallows was...), but he could handle it. Speed would certainly be an interesting change of role for him though.
- Jennifer Lawrence as Kate Bishop is also a little too narrow casting. Not to say she would rock the part, but how about something a little more versatile?
- Ashley Benson is perfect for Stature.
- Good Patriot pick.

Lee Thompson Young is almost too perfect for the role of Elijah "The Patriot" Bradley.

I thought I remembered him being short, he is 5'10"
Taller than me, shorter than Hugh Jackman.
He seemed short on How I met Your Mother, from what I remember.

I've never seen the Walking Dead, but he was one of the stars in this gritty show and
not saying he is ugly but he isn't a pretty boy... like Wolverine isn't a pretty boy I guess.
I could see it working.

Although I think Jackman has no plans to leave the character, I think he will ride the Wolverine train as long as they will let him.
Which is cool that he would. I mean he has done 3 X-films and a Wolverine movie, plans to do another and I can see him doing a 3rd Wolverine movie. And I wouldn't be surprised if Jackman stayed on for another 3 films after that.

Mel Gibson should play Logan in an Old Man Logan film. T'would be epic.

Clint Eastwood woulda been the perfect Old Man Logan had they shot it in the 90s.

If Wolverine had been shot in the 70s, he wouldn't be playing him. He was Wolverine.

- I'm a pretty strong supporter of Ginnifer Goodwin as Wasp. I don't mind. I've seen interviews, and she's got the right attitude.
- Why AJ Cook as Ms. Marvel? My choice is Rachel Nichols (she's got the bust, stands at 5'10", and has trained in fighting for G.I. Joe)

Frank Castle/The Punisher: Frank Grillo

- Frank Grillo does look like Frank Castle quite a bit. And he was in The Grey, we all know what the actors had to lift on their shoulders for that film.
- Alan Tudyk did play it goofy in Tucker & Dale, and he knows his way around sci-fi. So I think he'd be great as the Irredeemable Ant-Man.
- Jensen can play *******s pretty well, so I could see him as Flash Thompson.

I'd love to see Jennifer Lawrence as Hawkeye, but I do agree it's a bit of a narrow cast.

The Ms. Marvel in my head:

Anna-Torv-Fringe.jpg

Any time I see a role for a tough woman in a leadership role, Anna Torv always pops up first. I could believe her as Captain Carol Danvers.
