Disagreeing with a VALID opinion and calling an opinion stupid are two different things... the latter of which is not respectful; respectful discussion to me is the golden rule of being a good forum contributor.

Thank you!

I am 100% with EnDz0n3 in thinking that Beast looked completely awful for most of FC. His big reveal got the biggest unintentional laugh from the movie audience when I watched... and you never want unintentional laughter in your movie.

Lol and the way he just strolled in the first time we saw him as Beast was hilarious. Man, that was horrible.

Lol he looks weird , I'm not sure which dog inspired the look lol. It is as if they were going for an unkept look, since it's his first transformation. I'm just glad they changed his look for the better in DFOP

Good times. I still remember, vividly, the looks on the faces of these two guys sitting in front of me in the movie theater. The entirety of First Class, they were just looking at each other probably thinking "What the hell are we watching?" and for that big reveal I suspect they were just doing everything within their power not to burst out laughing.

I understand this is most people's favorite movie of the franchise. McAvoy's Xavier and Fassy's Magneto are some of the better-realized characters in this franchise. However, I just can't get behind a lot of Vaughn's head-scratching decisions from this flick. Needless to say, I'm very glad Singer is back at the helm.

Was it you who said the two guys would look at each other when something cheesy happened and you could see their faces? I remember that story! :funny:

I can't understand it if FC is most peoples' favorite x-movie here. If anything, I thought it would be X2. For the GA, I'd say X3.

I know I've told the story a million times so sorry. :funny: It really did affect my viewing of the movie, even though I did agree with some of their confuzzled faces.

I don't really understand the fuzz with Beast. He was more than ok! Personally I liked the direction they took on his looks, that reminded me the Astonishing XMEN Beast. And I think that it fit with the art direction of the whole movie. A bit classic and finally free to express like in the comic books.

I absolutely hated cat Beast in FC
I also hated cat Beast in the comics, and the idiot writer that turned him so.

Lol hmm no I actually remember I was hung over when I seen the movie and I was confused with something's about the movie. Especially when Magneto broke Diamond Emma Frosts neck with the bed frame, not to mention Xavier and Magneto being able to hold her back. -__- Especially in the scenes before she knocks him off the boat with a hit to the chest.

^^^ What are you saying "Hmmmm no" to?

Well that writer has since retired (from super hero comics) so you can come out from under your rock now :oldrazz:

Me neither I thought he looked good

I thought Beast looked great when he roared while manoeuvring the jet.

The rest of the time, he didn't look as great.

I didn't like him walking through the white light at the hangar, and I didn't like it when he was first stood on the beach and suddenly looked a different shade of blue, lol...

He did?!
HalleluJAH!
He's probably writing some trippy book about his crack use. Good riddance.

...I'll crawl back under my rock now :oldrazz:

This was probably one of the few times he actually looked great.

This shot in the trailer gave me hope that Beast in the eventual film would actually look good. IIRC they used a different take in the film vs. the one in the trailer.

Lesson learned: Never hope!

I thought this just happened recently as I had thought I just read about it, but I did a search and apparently Grant Mo. retired from superhero comics in July. With how these things work I wouldn't be surprised if he's back working on supers again. :o:cmad::oldrazz:

Thank you!

This! :o

I liked the look of beast when he grabbed magneto by the throat and when he roared in the jet. The fact he looked like a blue carebear when he was revealed was not good and also got many laughs in my cinema.

Also as someone else said. That scene where Emma is just stopped by mags and xavier made my jaw hit the floor. I was literally sat there thinking... I swear she managed to make magneto cartwheel into the water earlier in the film with a spin and a push to the chest. But apparently she cant do anything against the hunk power of fass and mc together.

What was she going to do? Try to disarm Magneto with another telepathic attack? Not likely, with one of the world's most powerful telepaths standing by his side. What's her other option? To engage Xavier in a telepathic battle first? Good luck with that, with Magneto there. He could easily take her out, while she's distracted by Charles. She was outmatched, and she knew it.

I though Emma Frost had superhuman strength in her diamond form.

Think xrs13 means they shouldn't been able to charge her against the bed when she shown she could knock magneto off the ship with just a push, although the strong push (there is probably a better word to describe it) had a lot of pressure to it while with the 2 of them xavier and magneto could with the right amount of force get her down so its not that odd, it's not like only one of then put her down solo, needing 2 to take her down is hardly weak

Ok I though so lol, I feel like she should have over powered Xavier And Magneto when she was running past them.

Right. It took two grown men to restrain someone the size of January Jones. Her diamond form may grant her increased strength, but it doesn't make her Superman. And as bad as a handful of people claim that scene makes Emma Frost look, it would have looked 10x worse if Charles and Erik, the main protagonists of the movie, couldn't handle January Jones' mousy portrayal. That would have been the second time in a row Erik would have been easily beaten by her. No thanks.
