I thought the point of super strength was that the person granted the power is stronger than average human being or mutant that doesnt have the ability. I mean she can lift two tons, so I figure two men in her way would be no problem. I'm not saying she should have defeated them. Magneto could have wrapped her body in a lot of steel and stopped her. It just felt like a continuity error.

It's not really a continuity error, it took 2 of them to take her down so her strength was obviously thought about, she ran into them like she knew she could take them down, it just happened Charles and Eric rushed her down

I'd say its more personal disagreement that she shouldn't have been taken down easy that's the main issue

It's not a continuity error because, in the film, it's at best established that Emma Frost's diamond form grants her enough strength to punch a mind scrambled man off a boat. That's it. Nothing in the film suggests she is capable of lifting two tons or that it is difficult for two men to briefly tackle her to the ground.

Agreed.

I was going off her comic book stats. Writers don't stay consistent all the time.

I was confused with something's about the movie. Especially when Magneto broke Diamond Emma Frosts neck with the bed frame, not to mention Xavier and Magneto being able to hold her back. -__- Especially in the scenes before she knocks him off the boat with a hit to the chest.

So inconsistent :o

It took two grown men to restrain someone the size of January Jones. Her diamond form may grant her increased strength, but it doesn't make her Superman. And as bad as a handful of people claim that scene makes Emma Frost look, it would have looked 10x worse if Charles and Erik, the main protagonists of the movie, couldn't handle January Jones' mousy portrayal. That would have been the second time in a row Erik would have been easily beaten by her. No thanks.

So what if it will make it look like Charles 10x worse, we know he's not the best person for a physical fight. I don't think Emma would have easily beaten Magneto by a single push "again" especially the setting is different. And Magneto wasn't knocked out by Emma the first time Emma got to push Magneto off the yacht, after he was pushed out by Emma, he attacked the yacht and the Hellfire mutants were running their asses off.

The writers could have come up with a fight scene between Magneto/Emma in that scene with Charles and end the scene with how Magneto defeated Emma Frost in the actual film, tangle Emma up with metals and try to break her neck off.

I agree a fight scene between the trio would have been cool.

So what if it makes Charles look 10x worse? Right back at you. Emma Frost isn't exactly known for her brawler status either. She's no Colossus, no matter how many secondary mutations the writers give her. Besides, she had her turn, and Erik responded more than in kind. Now, she knows better.

Of course she wouldn't have easily beaten Erik again. That's the point. She knew she was outnumbered. You said it yourself. Erik had her running her ass off earlier. Why? Because he's that powerful. The only reason he didn't do that on the yacht sooner is because she caught him off guard with her telepathic powers. That wasn't going to happen again--not with Charles present. Charles and Erik meant business, especially Erik. He was prepared to kill her at a moment's notice, and he damn near did. It was over for Emma before it began, and she knew it.

January's not that good of an actress but even then you can tell from the look on Emma's face she knew she was in trouble the moment she saw both Erik and Charles.

Even when she was talking to Shaw on the sub, she knew she's no match to Charles.

I'm used to Emma Frost being sassy, with an accent lol. I found it funny how she took orders, too bad she's not in DFOP, the Hellfire club would be interesting to see. I know she's not still incarcerated.

And yet she used her diamond form in comics for battle. She doesn't have to be Colossus but when someone transforms into diamond form, obviously that would give more weight and body strength to the person.

Its one of the flaws of the film and I guess you're one of those people who keeps the defending the *flaws* just because you like the film.

And even if Emma Frost knew she was *over* when she saw Erik/Charles at that room, its NOT an excuse to write a lame scene. Running in diamond form and getting easily pushed down by two people and those two weren't even using their powers yet. It was lame. Especially considering the fact that it was Emma's last scene before she was sent to prison or whatever room she was in. If we have a gotten a fight scene between Charles/Emma (like astral projection fight scene) or Emma/Magneto, do you think people would still prefer the scene that made into the final cut of the film, probably not.

I expected Emma would jump through the window and run to the helicopter :)

Which is why it takes two men to tackle a woman who looks like she otherwise weighs all of 90 lbs. She transforms into diamond, not the Juggernaut. She becomes more difficult to move, and she is. She doesn't become impossible to move.

No, it's something that's accounted for. If it were a flaw of the film, something that were overlooked, it wouldn't take both Charles and Erik to tackle her, and they wouldn't struggle while doing it. If it were a flaw of the film, there wouldn't be added sound effects to denote the additional weight when she slams into the bed. If it were a flaw, Frost wouldn't require a bed frame to restrain her. If it were a flaw, Frost wouldn't require the bed frame to double down to continue to restrain her. If anything, the notable flaw of the scene is that notoriously difficult to break diamond is almost shattered by a metal bed frame. Of course, you don't mention that. Why? Because I don't think this is an issue about actual flaws. If anything, I think this is about common sense and your willingness to overlook it to try to make a point.

He was tossed around like a rag doll. Better?

Well, psylockcolossus, I'm sure in a world where time and money are of no consequence they would have written a more elaborate scene. Until then, I'll let you continue to believe they wrote it the way they did just so they could upset you. Regardless, as it stands, the scene works.

The scene worked for you. But I'm not the only one who thinks that scene was flawed and inconsistent.

Considering Bryan Singer has employed some sick-sounding photographic techniques for Quicksilver's scenes, I think he's going to look pretty cool.

I like it....IDK y ppl are frowning and expecting uniforms....from what we know so far their is 70s X-Men nor Brotherhood, members either left or died...

From what I can tell Pietro may be some kind of fast talking techno savy teen, by what's on his belt...

Oh wow, where's his Nintendo Power Glove?

LMAO!
I can't stop laughing!
so ridiculous

Looks fine to me.

Me too. I'm digging the glam-punk kid of the seventies look.

What really is wrong with it? People are throwing out words like horrible and ridiculous, but no actual responses as to what's wrong with it.

Sure it's nothing like his comic costume. Mostly because it's not a costume, so other than that what is the problem?
