Me too. I'm digging the glam-punk kid of the seventies look.

What really is wrong with it? People are throwing out words like horrible and ridiculous, but no actual responses as to what's wrong with it.

Sure it's nothing like his comic costume. Mostly because it's not a costume, so other than that what is the problem?

honestly to me, it's the goggles/headphone combo, the long hair, the utility belt, and the shiny jacket that all just look bad, topped off by the horrible PS job.
If they went short hair, ditched the jacket and just gave him a black t-shirt with a lightning bolt, and ditched the headphones and utility belt, it'd be fine.
I don't need comic accuracy, just something that doesn't look hokey... and that, unfortunately, looks very cheesy to me.

Smallville's Cyborg looks like a better Quicksilver.

Heck, a silver version of Smallville's Flash, minus the hoodie, would have worked better too.

Ok guys, i must say that weirdly... I LOVED Quicksilver instantly! Please don't hate me for that, but it's so different than we expected and that made him unique. In anycase, we have to see him in action in order to understand Singer's vision. And to remind you that the first team photo from FC was a dissaster... So keep calm for now.

I'm kind of in the "WTF QUICKSILVER?!" category with his costume. Then again, I never liked Singer's X-Men for their costumes. I liked them for other reasons.

I'm holding out hope that Singer was able to give me a near-flawfree version of Nightcrawler, so he'll do right by Pietro's powers. The costume does make me chortle though. Not unlike Cap's helmet in The Avengers, to be honest.

Still, I'm excited for this movie

Not only is his entire appearance laughably atrocious (IMHO, and for reasons already stated in this thread), but he's not even a major character (as confirmed by Singer himself), is not Magneto's son (If you're going to have him in an X-Men movie...why would you pass this up?), and Scarlet Witch is nowhere to be found (the pair are far more interesting together than apart).

If Fox or Singer really wanted to compete with the mutant twins we are getting in Age of Ultron, they could have done SO much more.

If anything, this just further validates my feeling that Quicksilver was shoehorned into this film at the last moment to try and best the Avengers sequel. But all this poor character portrayal is going to do is exemplify the far better portrayal of him in the Avengers sequel.

For shame Fox and Singer...you had an opportunity to really utilize and flesh out a deep character (two, really, because Wanda should be there as well) for your universe, but you opted to pick a mutant name out of a hat and write them into a scene or two to show off their cool powers...LIKE YOU DO EVERY MOVIE!

Singer wanted Quicksilver around FC time so you are wrong on the shoehorning bit and we don't know if he is his son or not.

Oh jesus Bryan Singer made mentionen back In 2011 of wanting to use quicksilver in films.Thinking they would change script ad quickly cast an actor because Joss Whedon announced twins In Avengers. And noone knows how large his role will be or If he will be Magneto's son.

I said it before and I will say it again: The goggles and the hair are what make this look worse, I kinda like the rest of the outfit. Just put your finger over his face and you will see it. (no offence intended towards the actor)

I honestly don't understand all the complaints. Yeah, he looks kind of silly. He's clearly supposed to. Quicksilver has always looked kind of awful, has always been a little full of himself.

Now he looks like he has a reason for that, and he looks a bit functional as well.
