Black Panther Teaser Trailer

When comparing the suits, it looks like they took much of the woven, diagonal lines off from the CW suit and added a much subtler African tribal design that matches closer to what the Dora Milaje are wearing.

Boseman is really T'Challa incarnate. He is going to be amazing as the King and Protector of Wakanda.

Which is impressive considering he doesn't utter a single line of dialog in the trailer.

Boseman can really convey a lot of emotions through his facial expressions alone. I think he will be the future Denzel Washington.

I have to scratch my head about not showcasing any Boseman dialog in the trailer though. I mean, we all know what T'challa sounds like now. No one really complained about Boseman in CW. Seems a strange choice especially since we know the chops Boseman has .

I think they want to save up the good stuff for the official full length trailer. This is only a teaser.

Yeah, for teasers we should never expect the moon and the stars. Still, I looked back at the teasers for other CBMs and most have something of the main character express themselves in some way verbally.

On the other hand, CW was the best promotion this film could ever have and Boseman has lots of dialog there. I guess there is something to be said with having a character debut in another film to test the waters out and familiarize the audience with them and of course the performer playing the character.

I think the decision not to let Boseman speak is because we're seeing Wakanda as an outsider, and it is supposed to be foreign and mysterious to us. I think the full trailer will give us the perspective from T'Challa himself, and it will make more sense for him to speak then.

Even in the comics T'Challa is a man of few words. He speaks only when he has something important to say, so it fits the character for him to not speak very much or at all in trailers. Just like there being no humor in the trailer fits the tone of Black Panther.

This guy, this choice was just perfect casting...
Loved what he did in Civil War with his first appearance. The way he carried himself, talked, was a regal badass... It was amazing. And this looks just like another great chapter for the character.

Yes I can see him only getting better with this film especially if Civil War taught us anything

Boseman has officially become my favourite actor. The guy is just phenomenal to watch. I watched get on up for the umpteenth time yesterday and I'm still noticing things he does in his performance that I didn't notice before.

This dude is about to become A-list

He has that indie Message from the King out this year along with Marshall releasing in October

I don't exactly know about "A-list", but if he has a successful and popular movie, that'll certainly give him a permanent bump up to B-list. Which is no small achievement, prior to 2000 there were only four A-list superheroes, *maybe* five ( Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Spider-man, *maybe* Hulk ).

Pretty sure he was talking about the actor and not the character.

Def in regards to Boseman.

Perhaps BP will get a significant push as well. Picking up some new comic cans. But this film will have Boseman as literally the new lead Black actor on Hollywood radar next to Idris Elba

Have to say I prefer the CW costume but the new one is cool too.

Anyway, it just dawned on me that the trailer opens with Bilbo and Gollum, lol.

The one one the right seems more traditional Panther. The one on the left has a lot going on. Its cool, but I think the one on the right will prove to be the best for the character.

I prefer the Civil War costume, I felt it was perfect.

I need to see more of the new costume, but right now I don't care for it very much. Looks like some of those terrible concepts for first costume. Hopefully the CGI touch ups will make it look better.
