Chapter 2 - "Lizards" - Discussion Thread 10/1/07

Wes is a creepy weirdo.:o

Good to see the Haitian back.

I want to see more b**chiness from Angela.:hq:

Nathan needs to shave.

How weird is it that all the characters last season were in the same place but some of them apparently haven't met(ie , Matt and Ando)

the stuff with the healer and Maya was a little corny

I think I'm one of the handful that's interested in seeing Niki back

I wonder if we'll see Claude again

It's pretty damn hard to cut your toe off completely like Claire did.

overall ok ep.

some ideas ive been running through my head:

- claude has something to do with attacking angela. when matt broke the window and she stopped being attacked she kinda looked off to the side as if somebody was there

- what if angela is hiros mom?!!! i mean its not completely out of the question. she said that she did sleep with kaito, just not in those words. :cwink:

- bells character jakced claires car because she wants to know more about her. and i thin ksomepeople here saying that bell is claires older sis that they might be on to something

I was wondering that too, but then remembered that Matt was unconcious for nearly the entire New York incident. The only thing he really saw was Sylar choking Peter.

The only other question is why Ando didn't recognize Matt from the future. I'd love to see that come about later, perhaps when Hiro returns from the past.

heh, I'd forgotten they crossed paths in the future. It would've been pretty cool if they'd reference that.

Great episode last night, I really like the scenes with Hiro as Kensei and then seeing what Kensei did after he was attacked. This could really prove the theory that many have been saying. Kensei could be immortal.

How was it annoying? The scenes are taking place in Cork, Ireland...how the hell else should they be speaking???

-edit-

...not meant to start a fight or sound like an ass...just sarcastic =^)

To me it just made it authentic...

I didn't take your personally. I just find it annoying in the sense that they sound overly done. I'm all for Heroes trying to bring a global aspect to the show, but not if it's going to distract me from the story itself.

And I agree with everyone else. "The box" is an annoying plot device.

yeah, the box was silly. Peter threatens to kick his ass and leave, but the guy has a box holding the truth about who he is so apparently he can't just kick the guys ass, take the box and leave.

oooh yeah...I get it. kinda like in Robin Hood:Prince of Thieves when Kevin Coster had a crappy English accent for 1/8 of the movie...?
lmao

The way they're advertising it, "the box" is the new "save the cheerleader..."

Guess Hiro is going to be Kensai after all. :)

SO called this at least 3 months ago! :)

Anyway, as I kinda hinted at in the "Mama Patrelli's Powers?" thread, I think Mama faked the attack and is much more evil then she's letting on...

Another prediction of mine?...

There's nothing in "The Box".

Likewise. All of her subplots in season one were nothing more than distractions. The show was wrapped together so tightly, with all story lines being somehow connected....except her. It is just a distraction to have her around.
Why don't the writers just integrate her into the main story. I'm sure she would be much more enjoyable if that was the case.

Ando wasn't at the final battle, anyway. Remember?

Hiro took him back to Japan.

"Hiro. You look badass."

Ringing any bells?

About the "box," why would Peter have credit cards and ID on him? Didn't he fly in the sky and explode? You mean he brought his driver's license with him when he confronted Sylar?

Also that helix symbol is decidedly NOT kanji. If it is, it's a completely butchered attempt at writing a Chinese character.

(BTW, when my wife and I heard Ando describe the symbol as "kanji," we both gave each other incredulous looks.)

You can't forget that these episodes are taking place months after Peter and Nathan's take-off. Peter didn't just end up in Ireland straight from the explosion...apparently, he had himself a little adventure between this season and the last that we'll find out about.

I hope this season gets better. :(
It's still enjoyable though.

I don't like "THE BOX".

Or his amnesia.

So how does a psychic painter paint the fates of people that supposedly died in a huge explosion that he fore told up until his dying breath?

um those Irish accents are some of the worst I've heard on TV in years... they were so so so so NOT Cork... terrible accents man.

I agree. I was like why are Malcom Reed from Enterprise (Star Trek) and Holt McCallany from Fight Club doing really poor Irish accents. I guess Jonathan Rhys Meyers was busy that week or something because i'm sure they would of cast him instead.

were you under some crazy assumption that the entire population of new york (and even people who weren't in new york) was to die in the explosion?

isaac never knew what his paintings meant. Maybe he assumed they would take place prior to the bomb
