I'll be surprised if Mikkelsen doesn't reprise the role, he is perfect for it in pretty much every way.So, regarding Thrawn... that’s gotta be another Sackhoff situation, yes?
Because visually Mikkelsen is perfect for it.
I also got major old school samurai vibes from that last fight with the magistrate which was a nice touch in combination with the Western/ Mexican standoff vibe that was going on with Mando and Biehn's characters in their final confrontation. I do wish Biehn got more to do overall though, but it was great seeing him nonetheless.
Toddler Ahsoka is the cutest damn thing in the star wars galaxy. Ill die on that hill.
She is indeed adorable.Toddler Ahsoka is the cutest damn thing in the star wars galaxy. Ill die on that hill.
I'd love to get an animated movie about Plo Koon finding Ahsoka and bringing her into the order.Toddler Ahsoka is the cutest damn thing in the star wars galaxy. Ill die on that hill.
I’d love that!Wouldn't it be awesome if Jon and Dave could adapt the "Thrawn" trilogy, via Disney Plus?
Beautiful... isn’t it?This is what happens when actual fans are in charge of the production.

Ahsoka got a bad-ass intro, moved great with the dual lightsabers, and looked great in live-action. I really liked Rosario Dawson in the role.
Like last episode, the story itself was filler but advanced the plot by dropping some information, with Grogu's name (finally can stop typing "The Child") and some of his backstory. So someone spirited him away from the temple during the purge? Still a lot missing there though.
The final duel between Ahsoka and The Magistrate split with the Western-style standoff between Mando and Michael Biehn was cool.
Totally thought The Magistrate's master was gonna turn out to be Moff Gideon.
So what happened to The Magistrate? And what, if anything, did she tell Ahsoka?
Liked all the name-drops and lore shoutouts this episode. The Force, the Jedi Temple, Coruscant, Yoda, Thrawn. Directing Mando to one of the ancient Jedi temples.
Also noticed Yoda's theme plays for a second when Ahsoka name-drops him.
"I sense much fear in you"
On Thrawn. I think there is a chance he might replace Gideon as the leader of the Imperial forces that still remain. But what if there is something else? What if during his space journey he found something else? I don't like them, but they did mess with the idea of the Vong on TCW.
Names I have heard for Grogu:
- Gogurt
- Ragu
- Rogaine
- Groot
Are we meant to assume that Obi-Wan and/or Yoda took the Child.. err.. Grogu off-screen during ROTS?
True!Is it considering type casting now to give Pedro Pascal a Spear?
Is Mando now becoming Space Oberyn Martell?
He needs something to use against the dark sabre.
Thank you. My brain was trying to make that connection throughout the episode but couldn't quite do it. I was like, "why does that spear seem familiar? ...Did he have a spear before? I feel like I've seen him do fancy things with that spear...but when?"![]()
Well that episode sucked.![]()
I’d love that!
You just described every single Star Wars project under the Disney banner. Everyone involved with Star Wars is a fan. Everyone. They all have their stories growing up. Name me the non-Star Wars fan involved with any Disney production so far. Name one. If your answer is Rian Johnson, that's obviously incorrect. This is what happens when actual fans are in charge of the production.

What? We have seen creatures vaporized on this show. We saw Ahsoka slice people in last night's episode.I wish they'd bump this show up to a PG-13 rating for the lightsaber action scenes. This episode needed more limbs flying and bodies bisected. Nothing too gory. Just the level of ROS's opening mustafar battle and the scene when Anakin kills the separatists in ROTS.

Also, what point is there to be made with a production that Filoni is involved with using Filoni characters? Some of you will come to any Star Wars section to complain and will do so in the most nonsensical manner. You don't like something? Fine. But at least make sense.
Yeah, JJ Abrams who turned Star Trek into Star Wars isn't a fan. You do know Kennedy is still in charge right? That she is responsible for the creation of the Mando right?Well not to derail this thread, but I don't see the likes of Kathleen Kennedy and JJ Abrams being fans of the mythology.
On the contrary, they appear to be bigger fans of the franchise (brand name, nostalgia). Hence, why the story in the sequel trilogy felt like a rehash of old ideas.
"Rogue One", "Solo", and "The Mandalorian" actually had creators that did their research, while adding new layers to the established mythology/canon.
I'm fairly certain that if Jon and Dave had been in charge of the sequel trilogy, then more people would have a positive feelings about it today.

Your arbitrary take on what being a fan of Star Wars and what isn't, is telling. Namely, it only applies as a stick to beat people with that you don't like. That you used Rogue One as example of creators doing research is just... yeah. Same with the Solo situation. I love Solo, but both are the biggest examples of Kennedy stepping in do to a lack of control of the creatives involved. That woman you said has no love for Star Wars.
JJ Abrams made the most successful Star Wars project since the original. I don't know how Jon or Dave's sequel trilogy would have been, but your need to pit things against each other inside Star Wars, gives me the hint you wouldn't have been happy with whatever anyone came up with. For many, hell the majority the ST was success, and TFA and TLJ are both held in high regard. Adam Driver isn't John Oliver's man crush because of Girls.![]()
I thought there was plenty of implied horror ala Carpenter style... plus the elegance of these fights tops anything from TROS.I wish they'd bump this show up to a PG-13 rating for the lightsaber action scenes.
