Christian man forced to reproduce lesbian videos

This is really newsworthy?

"A man at Walgreens was forced to develop film of a Gay Birthday Party."

Well I'm glad they were happy.

This case is a slippery slope, whichever way the "verdict" goes. On the one hand discrimation is bad, on the other government shouldn't force a businessman to go against his belief. In my mind I think the lesbians are wrong in this case because they are forcing their beliefs on this person, I'm sure there are other companies, just as good and more than willing to reproduce this video, why chose this company? The case from what I read seems to be a small mom & pop shop, if it was an employee of a large company then it'd be wrong. I'm against discrimination, but I'm also against forcing people to do something they feel goes against their beliefs (however wrong those beliefs may be). Find another company, the solution is that simple, I'm sure there are plenty out there.

Amen!

His mistake was in saying WHY he wanted to refuse these potential customers service. Every business has the right to refuse service for any reason, until they start dragging discrimination-oriented issues into the mix and then the government and/or legal system can be engaged as this guy is finding out (I would prefer that the government and legal system stay out of the affairs of business whenever possible, personally) That said, the lesbians who brought this all up were probably targeting him specifically because they knew exactly how he would react. The irony of this is that in doing so, they're simply making him and others like him dislike them just that much more which seems counterproductive. I showed that article to a lesbian friend of mine here at work and she just shook her head and said that the only thing actions like this by "obnoxious dykes" (her words) do is contribute to the chasm and the misunderstanding between people and wind up making things worse.

Bono told Vincenz his company does not duplicate material that is obscene, could embarrass employees, hurt the company's reputation or runs counter to the company's core values and to Christian ethics.

Businesses do have the right to refuse service to anyone at their discretion - however in this world of being politically-correct and bending over for everyone, being honest will come and bite you in the ass - like it did with the store owner.

If he had stuck to simply saying "I'm sorry" without going into details about values etc. I'm sure the situation would've been different.

So, answer me this one, the Mormon faith precludes any women from becoming members. Should the government step in and force them to accept women?

You're talking about organized religions recognized by the U.S. government as such, which are treated quite differently than private business, so it's not really a valid comparison.

What about the lesbians? Shouldn't they have the right to produce there videos without being persecuted?
They have to have there videos produced too.

They could have gone elsewhere.
