The Dark Knight Rises Christopher Nolan Is Doing Batman 3!!!

TDK3 needs some Roman Sionis!

I'm not well read on Black Mask, but from what I've seen summarized on these boards, I certainly wouldn't complain if he made it into a film in some form.

No thanks, that's one of my favorite parts of superhero movies, and why batman begins is better than the dark knight.

The sonar, isn't the same thing, it's just a gadget batman was using, that happened to look pretty stupid.

The portrayal of the sonar is what cost TDK a best picture nomination.

I say no to Blask Mask as the main villain.
I for one would love to have the story involve more of GothamPD and the Mobs of Gotham, with The Penguin, Deadshot, and Black Mask to be the main protagonists of TDK3.

I can dream right?

Riddler? Catwoman? Bane? Poison Ivy? Nay. :down

Nolan should be able to do any of batman's villains. If he can't, that's more of a problem with his vision than with the villain.

I wouldn't mind seeing a villain we've seen already, redone that is, but I would very much prefer to see one who hasn't been seen before, especially since the last movie had joker and two-face.

You mean like Mr. Zsasz, Ra's Al Ghul, Scarecrow, and Carmine Falcone?

Mind explaining why?
Been there, done that. Lets have the b-squad villains had a go at it. The only villain that I would like to be re-done for DK3 would be Penguin. imo

Also it would be great if Carmine Falcone, Sal Maroni, Victor Zsasz, and Dr.Crane to return for the DK3.

Toby Jones is my prefered choice for Penguin. You dont need to add makeup on that guy.

I want Riddler as the main villain, but dont want him as a Fed. As I explained it will be 'The Riddler Begins'. He should be an obsessed psycho who goes from city to city to personally challenge the head of the police department, and his next victim is Gordon. Batman defeats him. Edward escapes Arkham and becomes The Riddler, obsessed with destroying Batman.

IMO. I think Harvey Bullock should be a Fed,he is forced to work with Gordon and they dont get on. It would make a good reason why he is included. Harvey is obsessed with Batmans capture, while Riddler is obsessed with outsmarting and finally killing Batman,as he does with his other intended victims. Riddlers traps could be inspired by the Authorities own wants of catching Batman,Edward however fits his to his own psychotic style, intended to be lethal.

There's a reason why I befriended you, Mr. Earle. :funny:

Lol what?

He actually is somewhat hitting on a solid point. The climax of the film involving sonar, SWAT, and ferry boats is what cost the film a nomination. I remember Kris Tapley at InContention saying that he talked to a number of Academy voters who liked or loved the first 2 hours of it but felt that the ending killed it.

i would like to see The Riddler (hired by the city to investigate who is batman and why he killed Dent) and Deadshot (hired by the mob to kill him once and for all)

Wow, fanboy love!

It's got nothing to do with fanboyism and everything to do with you saying something absurd and him responding to it in a funny way. :whatever:

I don't remember ever saying I was crazy about the sonar. :oldrazz:

Did they say that the sonar was why?

Thanks for the support. Not hating on the movie at all. I love TDK but that part came across a little cheesy. Smells a little like Goyer.

A familiar complaint. One of Begins' most common criticisms is the third act of the movie.

There was nothing absurd about my original statement as redfire points out.

What cost TDK the nomination:
1) Its a comic book movie. The academy would rather vote a Sandler movie than a superhero one.
2) Many plot holes.
3) No clear protagonist. Sometimes you feel lost.
4) Rachel Dawes.
5) Superhero movie elements. Given the genre, the sonar vision was fine (unless you are a realism fan who only knows Batman from the movies, in other words not so much), but academy frowns upon those elements. Unless its realistic or done by Lucas or Cameron, its not worthy. Sonar vision? WTF is that ****? But alien dances with smurfs is fine because Cameron!
6) Weak ending with Two Face.
7) Oh hay guys, i just remembered that this is a batman movie, and not a dent movie. Here is a very INYOURFACE monologue to point out that Batman was actually the protagonist: "He is a silent guardian, a dark knight"
