The Dark Knight Cillian Murphy in TDK.

Well, glad to have confirmation on that front. I'm neither happy nor dismayed. Perhaps he'll show up in BB3.

Dr. Crane isn't here right but if you'd like to make an appointment.:(

damn, I thought a final Scarecrow/Batman showdown would make a great opening scene to the movie

FYI guys:

I've recieved some info from a very generous individual, who told me Cillian is, in fact, in TDK.

He also advised any Irish SHH'ers who live in the Baltimore area to keep an eye on the Mondello race track from Monday onwards.

I'll edit the original post to reflect this information. :)

Thanks Miranda, I'm glad to hear this

 Looks like the racetrack is near Dublin though, pretty much the opposite coast to Baltimore

I'll edit the thread title to fit the new info:cwink:

He wouldn't have happened to mention if my guy's claims are legit or not would he? I would like to spare myself ridicule if all possible.

What were your guys claims ?

The mask won't be burned to his face. The rivalry begins, it's not just jumped immediatly into. Joker's "origin" would be sketchy if at all. He'll be Joker in looks the whole time, but Bats does somethings that push him to the final crazy mofo we all know and hate, err love. W/e. lol. And that the execs are going to extreme lengths to keep the script under wraps.

Glad to hear the mask won't be burnt to his face and i am intrigued by how they will build the rivalry.

There's a Baltimore in Ireland?

If true, I'm a happy bat-camper! It's like Xmas in May! :yay:

I've said for years that Hero oriented action movies, even before Superhero movies, should open sequels with the hero chasing, fighting, doing something toward said criminals from the previous movie.

This idea shows the hero has not been sitting on his or her thumbs waiting for his or her movie to be filmed.

Lethal Weapon 2 is a perfect example. While the criminals aren't from the previous movie, Riggs and Murtaugh appear to be still "working" as Police Officers: trying to disable the bomb and saving a cat!

Batman chasing down the Scarecrow could be a great opening scene.

Glad to hear Murphy is back. But you could already tell from the sides that Scarecrow was returning. Still, great news!

Cillian kicks ass as Scarecrow, and it would be really great if Nolan carries over all of Gotham's crazies from film to film, so that Batman has his hands full and we can see a bunch of them in Arkham in the 3rd film.

It also does really sound like he's in the movie from the sides.

I really wouldn't be surprised if Cillian said "comment" and not "count," and they misunderstood him.

How could you tell he was in it from the sides?

hmm, makes me wonder how big-- or small-- Cillian's role would be. because if Scarecrow is in we could end up with too-many-villains syndrome.
