It was not "that good" but it was better than the remake and has a charm of its own.
It was decent...entertaining anyway. But the one major thing that bothered me about the film (as I said in another thread) is that it was just way too easy for the main character. Never once did I feel that his quest was a struggle. I did have other issues with it, but that was the main one.
Just saw this on Blu-Ray. I thought it was decent. This felt just like Percy Jackson to me though. It lacked the epicness factor - if that makes sense. Other than Hades you never got the feeling like any of the gods were a threat.
Can't say what has already been said. But yeah, this movie really is a train wreck. Sure it did have some entertaining action scenes but it lack the emotional depth and development for Perseus that should've been the driving force of this movie. It's a shame, the version that could have been good vanished after the massive rewrites and re-shoots.
Sigh... I seen this over the weekend, nothing mind-blowing, but it was more fun and entertaining than I expected from all the reviews and fan Poo-Pooing about "horrible remakes". I watched the original film again not that long ago and where it is was wrapped in pure cheese and was very stagy, the remake is the better film (better effects, action sequences, better acting, etc.). Personally, this is one of those Rose Colored glasses deals with fans not accepting films from over 20 years ago are dated and cannot accept remakes for their own stupid selfish reasons. Not saying this film was awesome, but it's no where near as bad as I heard.

Maybe someday we'll get a faithful adaptation of the character. Perhaps if Tarsem's Immortals is successful.

Just think of how cool it would be to see these guys adapted to the big screen:

Random question: Did the Ancient Geeks really have beards that... curly? It looks like they took a Judge's wig and glued it to their faces.
