saw it last night, it wasn't as bad as i thought it would be, only thing that got me mad was the ending, there was no final battle, Kracken only lasted a few seconds and that was it, other than that i still enjoyed the movie

7.5/10

I'm seeing this in about two hours. Paying five bucks. If it sucks I won't lose anything... OR WILL I?!

good, as long as you go in thinking it'll suck like i did, it'll help out, and the graphics looked great in 2D

Yeah, I'm pretty much going in thinking it will suck going into it. :woot: I hope I can at least enjoy the action and Liam Neeson's Greek God shininess.

yea you'll enjoy Zues and Hades

Drako character was cool too

I did like Zeus but I had issues with Hades portrayal...and Apollo's

in the mythology Apollo has always been portrayed as a blonde

Yeah, agreed, the score sucked. The movie wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, but there were a lot of LOL parts that weren't supposed to be funny. I think I'm going to post a full review later but for now, I'll just say that it's worth seeing once. It's probably worth seeing twice if you're drunk or high the second time.

I really enjoyed this one, I'd give it a 8.5-9/10. I went in with low expectations considering all the mixed reviews, but was pleasantly surprised at how much I came out enjoying it.

Does the Kracken
get "stoned" like in the original movie??

I'm going to a 12:30 showing with a few friends today. Even if it sucks, at least it was a matinee showing and my friends and I were able to make a good time out of it.:cwink:

exactly...it didnt make sense that Zeus wouldnt know it would make him weaker

the idea was that unleashing the Kracken would make the people pray and beg to Zeus to end the attack and once he did the people would ****ship him and the other Gods again.

I saw this last night and thought it was pretty good.

Pretty much on par with the original with me. All the scenes with action and monsters were really good. The rest was just eh. It was entertaining though. 3/5.

I got that I just didnt understand how one city gripped in fear could cripple Zeus

Meh. 6/10

My brother and I have been having fun with it. Everytime someone as us to do something we reply, "I'll do it. As a man."

I SAW IT . i like it. it wasn't too good in 3d. only center parts of it was. i recomed it. i seen the first one but ihand't seen it in years. i might haveto check it out.

I saw it in 2D, and it was a pretty enjoyable movie. It's probably not going to leave a huge impression on me, but it had a lot of cool creatures and makeup effects, and the action was solid. It was a good looking film (if you saw it in 2D) and Leterrier proves once again that he knows how to do action. The biggest problem with the film was that the characters felt somewhat underdeveloped. It was an entertaining movie, but the plot was more focused on mythology than character development, so don't expect a gripping character study. It was pretty and entertaining, and that was enough to make it worth my $10 (plus $1 service charge).

7/10

Saw it, nearly have the same thoughts as Timstuff. It's medicore, maybe a little lower. Does it completely suck? Nope, but it's nothing special and only worth going to see once and maybe when you see it on tv a few years down the line. The only things I liked was the fabulous art direction and production design, Neeson and Fiennes as Zues and Hades (seriously, those guys can act those parts in their sleep) Worthington's accent wasn't as bad as I expected it would be, Draco, and the hot as hell Andromeda and Ios, if that's her name?

Other than that it felt flat. It's a good thing I spent five bucks on this.

Medusa's Lair wasn't even that exciting. She was too cute as weird as that sounds. It just lacked tension and suspense the original had, though I won't compare the two. And Calibos was kind of... there.

All these meh reviews, in conjunction with the timing of this movie (and Sam LOL) reminds me an awful lot of TS last year (obviously TS came out a bit later, but still). How would you guys compare it to that in terms of disappointment? Obviously it's tough to compare quality cause they are such different movies, but maybe you could shed some light on a comparison between the enjoyability of both films as well.
