Have you seen the Avengers trailer in 3D? I think that might be the first good one.

Nope. I heard the Avengers 3D conversion is nothing special and average at best.

Only 3D converted films that I thought were above average were the Harry Potter conversions.

The Potter conversions were alright, not bad but not great. I don't know who you heard that from about the Avengers, but I thought it looked really good.

I highly disagree. Most of the final film takes place shrouded in darkness, and it looks muddy in 3D. I'll grant you that certain CGI-heavy scenes like Room of Requirement Fiendfyre, the Priori Incantatem scene in the courtyard and Voldemort's demise looked good in 3D, but those were the exceptions.

You could tell it was a shoddy conversion. If WB really wanted to make the 3D standout, they should've had the production use 3D cameras or take their time converting the thing.

Spoilers from advanced screenings.

Perseus views Zeus as his real father, and doesn't hold a grudge against Hades.

Io died giving birth to Perseus' son, Helios.

Bubo, the mechanical own, shows up again.

Hephaesthus has a brief role, directing Perseus to the labyrith where he fights the Minotaur.

Ares is the main villain, and is motivated by jealousy towards Perseus, whom Zeus loves more despite Perseus being only half-God.

Zeus and all the other Gods die, aside from Hades, who forgives his brother and helps him defeat the Titans before losing his powers.

The movie ends with Andromeda and her army fighting the Makhai with Perseus defeats Kronos with a weapon that holds the combined powers of Zeus' lightning bolt, Poseidon's water trident, and Hades' dark pitchfork.

If it's super fun like Fast 5, then I'm on board. But if it's a mess, then I don't know what to think of Jonathan Liesbman. He was the prototype of a director who got noticed due to his short film back in the day, which is the norm now via internet.

But he comes off as a guy who means well but never hit his full potential in his career. That makes me sad, and I hope that 'Wrath' is decent.

Even I enjoyed the last two Fast franchise flicks, but get this Fast Five was the longest of them all at over two hours. I also like Battle: Los Angeles as well.

But the first movie was just so rushed and it just lacked really all those big epic and theatrical, cinematic moments of the original.

I did see the Avengers trailer in 3D but I think it looked better without the 3D.

and yet nothing that said if the movie was good or bad?

Looking forward to Wrath, although I have a feeling it won't be a "great" movie, I think it'll do it's job and be a good popcorn flick. I'm just hoping it's an improvement over Clash and can at least get over 50% on RT or something. That might be asking for a lot from what only the spots and trailers are showing though.

Btw, random: I told my brother how I thought the second released trailer was one of the worst trailers I've seen in a while, he laughed when I showed him why it was such a mess and doesn't flow at all. I think that's why I worry about the film in that it looks like it's a mess from some tv spots and trailers.

P.S. I wonder what the 3rd movie will be titled? I'm sure it'll get made as I think this movie will do pretty well at the box office I'm sure. Revenge of the Titans? Friendship of the Titans? :hehe:

Judging by what happens in Wrath of the Titans, I'd go for War of the Titans for the third movie, [BLACKOUT]with the Pantheons declaring war among themselves after the Olympians fall.[/BLACKOUT]

[BLACKOUT]I don't think there will be another one if Fiennes and Neeson are out.[/BLACKOUT]

so I literally still dont care after knowing that now. If this is true then it will be a generic sequel to a meh movie. Is it too much to ask for a God of War movie?

This isn't God of War...

I know they ripped off the look and idea, but it isn't that story sadly.

So RT has a couple of reviews up and it seems the action is pretty well done but quite bad once the dialogue kicks in. Not surprising and with a 99 minute runtime its probably mostly action/set pieces.

[BLACKOUT]Hades doesn't die, though. He only loses his powers. And they could probably find a way to bring Zeus back as well.[/BLACKOUT]

I think that's all most of the general movie audience is expecting. I don't think they are expecting an Oscar worthy film are they?

Besides in the visual effects side perhaps.

I just got done watching Clash and by the beard of Zeus was that movie bad :( The dialog was freaking horrible...and when it wasn't horrible it was cheesy. The only redeeming quality of that movie were the effects and action scenes...and even a few of those where embarrassing.

Remember the days when a movie had to be good to get a sequel...not just make an undeserving amount of money?

anyways...I'll be seeing Wrath tomorrow as part of a private screening in Seattle. I'll have a review up on my blog soon their after. Here's hoping it's miles better than the first (2010 version that is)...though, unfortunately, I don't have much hope for it given the director hasn't headed anything worth remembering yet.

Ive read the reviews and so far it's been mixed. At least the action is getting praised

Now I'm thinking that Liesbman is a journeyman director in denial. Ninja Turtles will solely rest on the screenplay and luckily they nabbed great writers.

Disappointment... to say the least :dry:

All the action sequences are in the trailer (the Chimera extract is, believe it or not, pretty much the full sequence of the movie), moreover they are short and not immersive in any way (pretty much like in the Clash btw:cwink:)!
The characters are bland, even more than in the first (at least, Io and Mikkelsen managed to exist back then)

All that remains are the FX and set designs... and Badass Neeson/Fiennes !

It's the same writers who wrote the screenplay for Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol, so I'm not worried.
