I won't reveal my identity, but suffice it to say I now have a copy of the script. Here is the plot outline for those interested:
Ethan Haas was an archaeologist. He discovered, and later managed to translate, an ancient text describing the Awakening of a God. The Hindus called this God Kirttimukha. When he finished reading, he realized that mankind, even with our so-called advanced technology, would be no match for the hungry God.
The text referred to Mans tendency to get lost in his own self-importance, his technological advances, to become one-minded and neglect the signs around him. And so no-one saw the coming of the God. Upon the last Awakening, Kirttimukha left the world in such a state of destruction that Man was forced to shelter underground for hundreds of years and thus losing all education all knowledge of his great accomplishments. Technology was dead, and Man had returned to his beginnings and once again lived the life of a caveman. Then an Elder figured out how to rid the world of this God. He began spreading the word that he knew how to defeat the mighty beast
and the word spread like wildfire. Thousands made their way to the Elder to discover how the beast might be beaten at long last. He informed them that if they could only gather enough Believers together in one place, to face the Beast as one, and if those people should chant the proper Mantra, the Beast would be forced into a great slumber such as the one it had awakened from. Only there was no Mantra. When the thousands gathered together in one place, and began to chant, the God heard them and came. And then He ate. Believing they could still be victorious, fooled by the Elder, no-one ran from the God. And so the God ate His fill that day
and then returned to his place of rest to sleep once more.
Ethan Haas figured out from the writings when the God would awaken again. He decided to become the Elder and send the Beast back before it had a chance to rend the world asunder. His plan has already started
people are listening and flocking together. Soon the God will awaken
and he will have such a meal waiting that his visit will be very, very short-lived.
