Dude, what healthy debate? You made little to no sense because you're just a TDK fanboy and you basically tried to tell someone not to have high expectations for a movie. Yeah, good work shape.

You just proved that you didn't even understand the argument, which made me LOL a little. And I believe you were a TDK fanboy until the Hulk trailer hit, when you miraculously switched over. :whatever:

I'm not a TDK fanboy. I'm a superhero fan, and I post in whatever forums I want, whether it be Community, Films, Batman, Hulk, Punisher, Spider-man, or the frickin' Anime forum. Get your facts straight before, once again, making baseless statments.

I don't really think the Hulk is 'America's Monster.' Sure he is a beast, but he is just a regular human exposed to gamma ray.

King Kong, yeah. He's an American monster.

But I think the monster from Cloverfield really solidfied his title as 'America's Monster.' It is America's Godzilla in my eyes.
I don't know about that. Not enough people have seen the movie. Additionally, the monster really did not achieve the instant icon status that Kong has.

Cloverfield is not "America's Monster" because it is the minority that actually care about it. EVERYBODY knows King Kong. EVERYBODY knows Godzilla. EVERYBODY knows Hulk.

Can you really say the same about the Cloverfield monster?

He's like the new guy in town, how's everyone going to know about him in only a less than a year? His popularity will grow as time passes but once it does, we will officially be able to say he's America's monster.

The same symbol is on the Slusho site, the Tagartuo site and the jamieandteddy site. They also found the site:

http://findteddyhanssen.com/

The site is owned by the same people who have the Slusho, Tagaruto, and Tidowave. I don't know if they're doing this for the video game, for the dvd, or it's actually for Cloverfield 2.

King Kong, anyone?

Boy did I get a surprise when I went into work today. Didn't even know they sent it yet.

I just watched the movie for the first time since Jan. and it definitely holds up. I enjoyed it just as much as the first time.

It's a great movie and I think what makes it hold up is the fact that it's different from the traditional giant monster movies we've gotten.

So, Rocker, what kind of abilities do you think Clover should have?

Pure destruction. He does need any powers, yeah maybe something original they can give him when he grows up.

From the making of Clovie that I have watched on the special features it doesn't look they had plans to give him any.

Well, I think that they only meant he was a baby mentally. If he is only a baby physically, his head may be in the clouds once he reaches adulthood.

Where did you wath the making of Cloverfield? I really want to see it.

Wait, the monster is a baby? I didn't know this.

From what I've heard J.J Abrams has said the mentality of the creature is like that of a baby because he's new to being on land due to being trapped undersea for so long. I don't think he's a baby physically because then he'd probably be a little too big once fully grown.

Oh ok. I was going to say if that thing is just a baby, how big can adult be?
