I agree. The trailer made me stop what I was doing and take notice. Leave it to JJ Abrams to present shock like no other.

So sorry, did not realize there are others out there. Please remove or merge.
No its fine. This one is about discussing it. The others were just what is Cloverfield. If anything this is a more offiicle one.

dang it, I was hoping that was Godzilla or something.

The preview had everyone pumped. I'm psyched!

I've been waiting for another monster movie for awhile with the lack of godzilla films. But I don't have much hope in JJ. I don't like his stuff.

Really? I thought he nailed M:I-3.

MI3 > than other MI films. JJ rocks. Saw the trailer before the craptastical Transformers...best part of going to the movie was seeing Abrams new trailer.

That teaser was such a tease, it doesn't even give you the title to the movie!

I CAN'T WAIT!!

So apparently, it's somewhat based on The Host?

Well that was probably the best teaser trailer I've ever seen. I found it strange last night when I saw it that, for something that seemed so big and different, I had never heard of it. Now I really want to see this movie!

Don't worry, I don't much care for his writing either but its not him that's doing this, it's one of his best writers from Lost. But i did like M:I-3.

there were less ooo's than wtf's in the theatre for it last night with transformers. they didn't even show a title.

Moviegoers left puzzled at Transformers Movie.

Hundreds of film goers were left puzzled Monday night as they watched a trailer attached to the massive Transformers movie. The trailer was for a top secret JJ Abrams produced monster movie.

According to those who watched the movie, the teaser trailer ended with no information, no title other than “Produced by JJ Abrams”. Now, if you’re wondering who the hell JJ Abrams is, he’s the Executive Producer for lost and Alias, so you can imagine how great a monster movie from him would be!

The movie will be released on January 8th 2008, but don’t expect to see this marvelous trailer online because we’ve tried, you can’t find it! Paramount have denied all knowledge of this film and even this trailer which hasn’t actually done anything other than create the next great viral movie advertisement. And what a corker of an advert is a trailer of a movie that no one actually knows anything about?

This trailer has got thousands of people excited and wondering just what this whole movie and trailer is all about. Many people are calling the movie Cloverfield and are searching Google for the latest but the truth is they’ll find very little. Apart from the words - “Mega Monster Movie” - if that doesn’t get you excited, nothing will!

:cmad:

I squeed like an anime fangirl when I saw that trailer. Bring on the giant city-wrecking monster, JJ!

Yeah, ALOT of people seem to be leaving the 'roaring' bits out of their recollections of the trailer on baords all over the internet. Some people are calling it a LOST Movie, I think thats a bit far fetched.

The fact that the trailer was shot with what seemed to be a handheld was very interesting.

Rumors are flying about spouting another Godzilla flick. I'm not so sure about it, but base off the trailer, I'd say it's another gigantic monster movie.

Really? I thought he nailed M:I-3.
I not a big fan of the MI series of movies. So I watched 3 hearinggod things about. It had some great production values, but other than that it was just another bad MI movie.

No its not based on the Host. These movies have nothing in common except there both monster movies.

Loved Mi-3 and most of JJ's stuff,i can't see the point in not putting this online to expand the buzz:huh:

They want to keep it a mystery. That and think of the extra money they can get when JJ fans go to the theater to just watch the teaser.

That's only the US though,i mean in this day and age someone will just bootleg it online anyway so they might as well get a crisp copy out to do it justice

Fine whatever. But Paramount wants to keep it a mystery. Sense they pretend the teaser doesn't even exist.

It's not exactly based off the Host but the one report stated it will be more in line with The Host then Godzilla

BTW Universal is doing a remake of The Host.
