Sure it does.

Now, we need some news on CF2, but I'm not worried at this point. If we get to the very end of the year & still no info, then I'll be worried.

It's not going to happen. If it does and is anything but the same incident from a new POV, it will just be gimmicky and a waste of time.

Honestly, I'm starting to think of the same incident from a new POV as unlikely since they have said they have been tossing around plenty more ideas.

It means they have more ideas that are going around & not just one. I don't see them using the same night from a different POV. It'd really drive people away & plus, the shakycam was great for the first movie, but shouldn't be used for the second. It wouldn't feel the same.

I wanna see Giant Monsters in other movies. Cthlu, Rampage, a new godzilla. More giant monster movies please.

I'm not sure Godzilla is viable any more. I mean, over the years he has become something of a parody of himself. How exactly do you make him scary again? How do you make a Godzilla movie that is anything more than a big budget B-movie?

Man, the scenes on top of the buildings are so well done. I was on the edge of my seat watching it.

I have to agree. He was scary to the public after he got his first movie, but afterwards Toho basically made him into a joke. Yes, it's cool to see him fight monsters, but wouldn't it be fun to at least try to make him scary again? They need to try that when the series comes back to fruition.

In my opinion Godzilla is easily do able IF you have the right mind behind it. Hell - make it a period piece and use the original premise of Godzilla being a commentary on the dangers of the Nuclear Bomb. Have the movies take play post WW II and during the Cold War. There is a lot of gold there, if you have the right writer.

Here's a serious question. How should they make Godzilla look? The man in the suit look would look too damn fake. But thats what he's famous for looking like. Then there's the pos lizard look from the 98 version. So how should he look?

I'd say take the original design, and tweak it but still use CGI. Give him better movements, don't make him do martial arts, and just make him look cooler.

My parents finally saw the movie last night. They both enjoyed it alot, and of course my mother said she even jumped once or twice. It's a good movie if they enjoy it, they usually don't like films like that. So there's another fan of the film.:woot:

Niiiice. Really cool that your parents enjoyed it.

I know, I was shocked as well. See, my step-father is a minister, so he's real busy and not always able to check out films. But they saw this on PPV and ordered it after I gave my thoughts on it.

Funny thing. My mother even spotted the "splash" at the end. She kept saying..." I thought I saw something fall, slow down in speed then hit the water" "I knew something had to be coming with them showing a shot of the ocean"

65 years old and still sharp.:woot:

Yeah, that is sharp, I didn't even catch it during my second time watching it.

Basically. Which was proved definately NOT the case with Dean Devlin, and Roland Emmerich's take back in '98. Teasers and such were good , but it was all downhill from there.

I liked the movie, it just wasn't Godzilla. They should've stuck to something a little closer to the Japanese version.

It WASN'T! The Monster was completely original. Yes, it was INSPIRED by godzilla. but not the look. JJ abrams wanted a America to have it's own Monster.
