has it been confirmed that this is the final season? I find it strange that with only 4 episodes left in this season they havnt mentioned anything about the future of this show? Im wondering if they are trying to work on a deal to renew it or perhaps move it to another network ( like Happy Endings or Cougar Town) surely if they wanted to cancel it they would have said it long ago?.

If you watch the episode you will notice that Chevy isn't in it at all. It starts with the group around the table and Chevy isn't there. The Dean even asks about him and they all shrug it off. (I assumed his absence was going to be explained in the episode so I didn't worry.) Then he shows up but in voice only as a puppet. The puppet story might try to explain without words why he wasn't there in the beginning, but when they return to humans at the end he still never shows up. Then in the behind the scenes puppet fun stuff his puppet is being voiced by someone else, and in the puppet group shot everyone is there but him. Its like he just phoned it in literally.

The episode was the last episode filmed because they built the forest set in the cafeteria. So he had quit before then and "phoned in" his lines.

I don't know, I think this should be the last season. The show isn't what it used to be anymore, and it's probably best that they end it lest they end up running it into the ground like The Office (though funny enough, that show has been improving as it approaches the end).

They still have yet to confirm or deny that this is the final season...which yeah is odd considering this season is almost done. But just going by all of the signs it does look like it will be the last season.

^ Yeah The Office has actually been pretty hilarious lately but still happy to see it is ending. While I typically get tired of the Jim and Pam crap I am curious to see where they are going with that.

None of NBC's comedies have been announced either way, besides the early cancellations. We don't know anything about Community, Go On, Parks & Rec, or Whitney.

And I'd rather it not get cancelled. If I stop enjoying I'll stop watching, long as a show entertains someone I hope it stays on.

I could have sworn I read something somewhere that another season of Parks and Rec was a pretty sure thing. Go On and Whitney I don't watch.

But nothing confirmed. We know Up All Night is cancelled as ****, but it's not announced either. Same with 1600 Penn and whatever else they got.

Tough to say if it will be cancelled or if Sony would shop it somewhere else.

Sony's Happy Endings will likely end up on USA and Community starts syndication on Comedy Central this fall. Another 13 episode season on Comedy Central or the new FXX?

The only castmember to get cast in a pilot this spring was Ken Jeong, but Chang is likely done with the show anyways. Of course if his pilot is picked up and Community is renewed with him on it he would have to drop his pilot unless he was written out.

Troy's delivery of "I believe its pronounced Anus" was perfect, had me laughing for a few minutes.

haha Dean as Jeff was brilliant, and Annie unable to figure out why she is attracted to the Dean(Jeff) was fantastic.

So now we know how Dean Pelton will act once he finally has Jeff inside him.

^ That was my favorite part, when he kept saying that over and over and Jeff was getting riled up. :woot:

NBC renewed 5 shows today and Community wasn't one of them. It's hanging by a thread now folks.....

It's not like there was much of a doubt.

We all pretty much knew going in that this was likely the end...

All the shows they renewed today were dramas. I imagine they'll get to comedies at a later date.

You act like that's a bad thing. This show shouldn't continue with a reduced budget and even less talented writers. They lost Megan Ganz to Modern Family and with a bunch of new shows about to be picked up by the networks, what writer would want do another 13 episodes of Community when they could be on the next big thing or just even a moderate hit that gives them job security?

NBC can't air the show anymore, the live ratings (no matter how flawed that system is) are terrible and the quality had dropped tremendously since the exodus of writers/producers and firing of Harmon.
