Comedy Community - Part 4

Yes. But she changed her name to Damon Wayans, Jr. :o

I think Alison Brie has more testosterone in her than Brad did.

That's way harsh, Pink.

But accurate. :o

I demand they now cast Ted McGinley in the show!

It's more Community-class than anything else on network TV, and that's probably exactly why it didn't last.

Last season of Happy Endings was waaaaay more Community than last season of Community was. :o

Sony saved the wrong show.

Hmmm. I'll have to check it out. Main reason I even want to is Joe from Scrubs being on there, ****ing LOVE her. Always disappointed she never returned as that secret service agent on Community

Don't let the first few episodes of the first season fool you, it gets crazy good after that.

Ah man I'm sure they wouldn't deter me much. I know how it is getting into a new show. I've been meaning to watch Cougar Town and Raising Hope for a while now. Modern Family certainly ended up surprising me with how good it is

It should have just ended last season. All most of us wanted was four seasons anyway.

Season 4 would not have been an adequate ending for the show, especially the season finale.

'Community' creator calls former star Chevy Chase a 'befuddled old man'

Community creator Dan Harmon has branded the show's former star Chevy Chase a "befuddled old man".

Chase quit Community last November (2012) after a three-and-half-year stint on the US sitcom, having squabbled with Harmon on set and in press interviews. Chase, who played bored millionaire Pierce Hawthorne in the acclaimed series, had also claimed that joining the show in the first place was a "mistake". "It’s still a sitcom on television, which is probably the lowest form of television," Chase said in one interview.

Now Harmon has spoken about his time working with Chase in an extensive new interview feature with The Hollywood Reporter.

"[Chevy is] a befuddled old man, but he's also the guy who calls you to his trailer and shakes the script in the air and says: 'I'm not a befuddled old man! I'm sexy! I could be the star of this show! I'm not gay. You're writing me as if I'm gay'," Harmon recalled.

"I'd say to him, 'Do you understand that what you're saying is funny and it makes an interesting character?' He would kind of blink and stare at me and go, 'Whatever, I just don't think it's funny'."

In the same interview feature, Chase apparently claims that he and Harmon are now "friends again", before adding: "He's brilliant and can be very funny. The reason I wanted to do the show in the first place was Dan's writing. And I stand by that. But I have to go now, I'm very busy writing Community's Ice Capades Extravaganza."

You can't ever just bite your tongue, can you, Harmon?

We are talking aboit Chevy ****ing Chase here man. I mean, his reputation speaks for itself. His entire career he's been known for having a huge, fragile ego and wanting to hog the spotlight and causing **** behind the scenes. When has he ever not been painted that way? Maybe from people on the Vacation movies? I'm honestly asking cuz I don't know exactly. I know in the 70s and 80s that's exactly what he was known for and people saying stuff now just seems like it's Chevy being how Chevy's always been, at least with the information I've ever been presented

I think both of them have points about the other but publically arguing over it is the last thing they should be doing.

They aren't doing each other any favors. It's entertaining to see them go at it but it definitely doesn't help either of their careers.

Oh yea most definitely. It's like watching to 7 year olds fighting over who get the last Popsicle

Still curious to see if they try to 'replace' Pierce or just focus on the remaining six + Dean.

I think they'll do some kind of send off. I don't know how but I don't think it would be prudent to replace him.

The Harmon and Chase drama must go on?

Well, the dynamic of the group will be different with Pierce's departure and Troy only being in five episodes. Should be interesting.
