Comedy Community - Part 4

Why is Troy only in 5 episodes? When was that announced?

Meh...Chase is already gone, so I'm neither surprised no disappointed that someone else is jumping ship.

Not to mention that this show hasn't truly been great since Season 2.

Was hoping they would spread Troy over the season for 5 episodes, but according to Dan Troy will only be in the first 5 episodes.

:(

Probably a good idea to "see him off" and allow the show to transition to not having Troy around.

Jonathan Banks joins Community

Glad they're not using him as the new Hawthorne.

I haven't visited this thread in a while and I wish I hadn't. All the news is killing me. No Troy? :csad:

Only in for 5 episodes. He wants to focus on his music…

Apparently.

I do love his music. But I wanted six seasons and a movie so bad.

As much as I love Jonathan Banks I'm kinda just meh about it all anymore. I tried rewatching season 4 a few weeks ago and made it to like episode 6 or 7 and just never went back to it. I just don't care anymore. I'll watch but this just feels like a sinking ship. Even with Harmon's return. So sad too, this was my favorite show for so long.

Community Books Justified Fave Walton Goggins for 'Devious' Guest Role
BY MEGAN MASTERS

Boyd Crowder is plotting big, “devious” things in Greendale.

Justified fave Walton Goggins will appear in an episode of Community‘s yet-to-be-scheduled fifth season as Mr. Stone, a mysterious man who approaches the Greendale gang with “a dangerous accusation, a tantalizing offer and a devious plan that will change the group forever,” TV Guide Magazine reports.

The Emmy-nominated/Oscar-winning Goggins joins Community‘s already impressive roster of Season 5 guest stars, which includes Breaking Bad‘s Jonathan Banks and returning funnyman Rob Corddry.

The return of Dan Harmon is all I need to know that this new season will be brilliant. Seasons 1-3 are fantastic. And the guy above who said it never got better than season 2 is dead WRONG.

Eh, I enjoyed season 3, granted I also enjoyed season 4. But I will admit that season 2 is best.

I think 1 was the best. 2 tried too hard to have these big themed episodes. I love it don't get me wrong but I loved it more when it was more character based, then Modern Warfare happened in season 1 and it just snowballed. I gotta say though, Goggins popping up on here along with Banks. It's hard not to look forward to that

Katie Leclerc will switch things up a bit when she visits NBC’s Community during Season 5.

The Switched at Birth actress will guest-star as Carol, a pretty, sweet and hearing-impaired woman who’s teaching Abed sign language, TVLine has confirmed. Community‘s return date has not yet been announced.

Leclerc, who in real life suffers from a degenerative inner-ear condition called Meniere’s disease, will appear in one episode of the NBC comedy. She posted the news on Instagram Friday, adding: “#Community here I come!!!!”

In addition to Switched‘s Daphne, Leclerc’s other TV credits include CSI and The Big Bang Theory.

EXCLUSIVE: What happens when you put one of the stars with the largest cult following, Firefly‘s Nathan Fillion, on one of the top cult shows, NBC‘s Community? We’ll find out later this season when Fillion guests on the upcoming fifth season of Community. When Annie (Alison Brie) and Professor Hickey (guest star Jonathan Banks) team up to navigate Greendale’s corridors of power, they must contend with Bob Waite (Fillion), the politically savvy head custodian who’s not afraid to get his hands dirty but is smart enough to wear rubber gloves. Fillion is a fan of Community who has visited the set of the NBC show, including posting this photo with Community cast members last year with the caption, “It’s my #community dream come true!” This marks a return to comedy for Fillion who got his break on ABC’s Two Guys And A Girl before entering the Joss Whedon universe with Firefly, Buffy The Vampire Slayer and Serenity. ICM Partners-repped Fillion currently stars on the ABC crime drama Castle, now in its sixth season.

Abed’s coat-check crush is stepping back out of her Greendale closet.

TVLine has learned exclusively that Brie Larson will reprise her role as the pop-culture fiend’s quirky Community companion, Rachel, for at least one Season 5 installment.

Details surrounding her return are scarce, but we can tell you she appears in the episode following Donald Glover‘s departure as Abed’s other-half, Troy Barnes. Perhaps she’ll help soften the blow?

“There’s a nice reason for her comeback,” a tight-lipped Danny Pudi shares with TVLine. “It’s a nice wrap-up to the storyline for Abed in this episode. And it’s a really great way to see another side of this character — especially this year with Troy leaving.

“Things have been introduced with Abed [in past seasons] that we’ve never really revisited,” the actor continues, “so it’s nice to see something that we go back to — especially with Brie, because she’s great. She’s an incredible actor.”

Also tapped to appear briefly in the installment — which centers on a midterms-centered dance — are former Criminal Minds fave Paget Brewster, Terminator/True Blood/Sons of Anarchy badass Robert Patrick, musician/The Sing-Off judge Ben Folds and Kumail Nanjiani (Franklin & Bash). They join the previously announced Nathan Fillion (Castle) and Katie Leclerc (Switched at Birth).
