I have the half-way cropped compressed divX version, but there's also one floating around on youtube that has much more of the screen visible, which makes it better by miles. I wouldn't mind hearing more about this over 200MB one though, that's new to me.

The bootleg was hard to see and hear, I wish they would put it online. But I guess at the same time it was a good tease to make me wait until the film!

How old is the one you're talking about?

The newest version I have I got from a YouTube user on Jan 17, and has 2 half-heads floating around, but it has much more of the screen visible. You can see both of the goons in the room at the beginning. You can hear a little kid go, "Mom?" at some points in it, LOL. The sound isn't all that good on it either, but yeah. Definitely more screen.

The 200MB one is the uncompressed version of that file. I messaged the guy on YouTube who originally uploaded it and he sent me the link to the uncompressed file 1.5 weeks ago. The vid on YouTube is long gone by now, LOL.

That's the youtube one I found! It's still floating around out there actually, I'll PM you the link just in case there are snoops looking to take it down from WB. Could you PM me the link for the uncompressed version of it?

Look at my sig. :oldrazz:

You don't have to PM it to me, I've already got it. :cwink:

thanks to all that made this possible again.

i think i got it now. the joker gave every person in the bank granades in their hands.
at the end he put something in the mouth of the bank manager. the manager thinks at that time that if it falls out of hes mouth he is death. but then finds out that it was only gas.
i think that was meant as a joke from the joker.

could someone PM me the link to prologue?!?!? pretty please with a cherry on top!

yeah on the first version i saw, i saw him put the grenade in his mouth but i didn't notice he had it on a wire attached to the joker which pulls the pin, pretty cool. I imagine warner bros will put this online nearer the time of the release for like a day or something like Spiderman 3 did.

it looked to me that the string was actually a thread from his coat.

The first time I saw it (on IMAX), I thought it was tied to his belt loop. You can't see it that clearly in the bootlegs, though.

I didn't get to see the prologue in theaters....now seeing the bootleg I wish I did.

I thought the first 6 minutes were perfect as an introduction to the Joker....he was methodical, mentally off, and he played by no conduct of rules. The twist with his line at the end being "stranger" completely did it for me.:brucebat:

Did anyone notice when they are sliding aross from building to building from the backshot two windows have been knocked out on diffrent levels?

At least that's how it appears on the poor quility boot-leg version.

Also when ledger is holding the mask from the backshot, in the distance ahead it looks like the wayne train track from batman begins can be seen.

Hah, you're right! I wonder if they'll fix that in editing.

I did notice that, LOL.

You're not talking about the air vent, are you?
No, a window on a lower level is also blown out, in the part when both the guys jump off the zipline. It's there for about 2 seconds in the background.

Unless those windows can open, in which case why would those guys blow it out in the first place? :oldrazz:

Sorry Anita but it is the vent window. count the windows at the end of the first scene when the window explodes. 5 windows to the vent, exactly like in the scene with the gangster.

Vent window? I'm not aware of how a vent window looks. :oldrazz:

If you watch the opening heli-shot, you can see one panel toward the middle of the building and to the right - it's a panel-size vent/air duct.

Actually getting to see this at the imax tomorrow, even though i've seen it online numerous times and qualities, i'm kinda excited about seeing it on the big screen, oh and seeing i am legend again but just cos i gotta lol. Anyone else have that? When you've already seen something but seeing it somewhere special gets you excited about it again?

so removing this line might be a good idea.
No, it's a ridiculous idea. Everybody should know that the original intentions with that line had nothing to do with his death. Rather a cool line suited for The Joker. Maintain the movie as it is.

Wow, all i can say, wow. I've seen the prologue before, online, doesn't do it justice, everything about seeing this on the imax screen was such a joy, and i never once had any wierd feelings about heath onscreen as the joker, i was so caught up in the whole show that was going on that i never had time to think about it, and in hindsight i still don't think that it'll make a bit of a difference to the film, heath's done something wonderful and we'll all enjoy it come the movie's opening. Back to the prologue, and for some of you guys back a few pages, the smoke grenade that he puts in william fichtner's mouth is attached to his....jacket, watch as he walks away, it unravells behind him as he walks off, genius lol. Fantastic, if it's showing near you, pop down to see it, i am legend looks pretty swish on imax too.

You aren't part of some marketing team to get more seats for I am Legend IMAX are you? Just kidding.

But yes, I completely agree, the IMAX version of the prologue is so much more powerful. The opening shot of the cityscape takes your breath away with its immensity right after the small WB logo tricks you into seeing a smaller scope, and then you really get a sense of scale when that single tiny window blows out just above where the camera leads you to look. Also, shots like the zipline give you a real sense of height and vertigo. It really changes the dynamics of some of those scenes and makes it so much fun to watch.:ikyn
