Why hasn't Superhero Hype announced this picture on the front page yet? I really wish this site would cover this film a little more than it has so far.

I'm worried about this film. I don't think that many people even know that it's coming out.

It probably would have been good if they had started the promotion earlier than they did. Still, it'll be 3 months and a half untill the film opens. That could be considerably sufficient time to spread the word, provided Lionsgate can manage to improve their usually mediocre marketing tactics.


I think the next step should be to release a very energized full-trailer like that of "300", "Solomon Kane", and "Immortals". Have it released in time to have it attached to "Thor" and/or "Priest".

They should definitely attach it to Thor. It would be a mistake if they wait and release it with Priest. That movie will make about $10 at the box office.

....and not to mention that "Conan The Barbarian" could benifit from Thor's audience. Yes, unlike "Thor", Conan will be R-rated, but still, it's that epic concept of a barbaric warrior battling magical forces and monsters.

Yahoo! predicts that Conan The Barbarian "should easily surpass its $100 million budget in the first few weeks of release".

I don't think it's been posted here, but I've been aware of the book because I haunt REH's forum and the gentlemen over there were discussing it. Can't say I know Stackpole's work, but I've read some things he has said about his approach and I wanna read it. Good or bad it's just a couple hours, could be a waste, could be a transcendent experience.

Hmmm.

Not sure what to think, really. There was a lot going on in that trailer, but I couldn't help but feel a bit underwhelmed by it. But that might just be because it was released at the same time that a thoroughly AWESOME Green Lantern trailer was released, and with GL being my most anticipated movie of the year, well...

But I think my problem with this trailer is that, while there were some cool visuals, it felt like there wasn't much of Conan in it. It looked more like a "team" movie, so to speak. Hopefully it will be okay, though. It certainly doesn't look bad, per se, but I also don't think it looks great. Much better than that stupid teaser though.

The best part from the trailer is the one where he punched the horse with a chain. Totally didn't expect it.

Loved the trailer. I see a lot of inspiration from various REH stories, like there's a definate Red Nails feel to some of those labyrinthine interiors. Also the ruined cities are very Queen Pf The Black Coast.

All I could think of after watching that is the Barenaked Ladies song "It's All Been Done". The arrows shot from Hero, Clash of the Titans, The Mummy, 300.

Still, I hope it isn't too bad. I like Momoa.

Like Rose McGowan's look. Very Fifth Elementish. Wish there was more of that aesthetic.
