Battleship - Part 1

The Hollywood machine really took a likeing to him and tryed to push him heck if both movies John Carter and Battleship made money he would just be the American Sam Worthington. Worthington has been in some huge movies but hes still not really a house hold name.

Kitsch is Canadian.

Hollywood machine does like getting an young actor and trying to make him the next big thing regardless of if they are leading man material or good actors or not.

I didn't know Kitsch was Canadian. I guess he's the anti-Ryan Gosling.

it's too manfactured of a process. That's how I feel about Blake Lively too.

Canada is just America's tow-headed little scamp of a brother, so it's interchangeable.

Lively was good in the Town, but yeah Im still not convinced. Are they really trying to do that with her though? They havent given ehr anything to lead yet

I don't hate her but you can tell studios are pointing at her and telling the public "She's our IT girl".

But in reality Rooney Mara is the real IT girl. Hell, Rooney replaced Blake at the last minute for the new Soderberg movie because the producer didn't like Ms. Blake.

While it's not on topic, but kind of is due to the same production studio, Paramount has pushed G.I. Joe back to 2013. :cmad:

LOL, well, I wasn't going to bring him up, but I like Reynolds (in the right roles). And even if you think he plays the same character in everything, he at least is charismatic and can be funny.

Taylor Kitsch is driftwood from everything I've seen. He might be trying, but he just comes off like a cheap knock-off of a real actor.

kitsch [( kich )] -n.
a form of art that is considered an inferior, tasteless copy of an extant style of art or a worthless imitation of art of recognized value.

:wow:
Really? Jeez why? Actually I just read to convert it into 3D.
That's just bad business, the marketing was getting into full swing, I know people were really looking forward to it. Come on...

Yeah there's already so much marketing for GI joe too. How embarrassing.

I mean what is this 2009? Pushing movies back to convert them to 3D? So f***ing stupid

The thing is he's good and charismatic on Friday Night Lights. I havent seen Battleship or JC yet, but Im surprised by the mediocre reception to his acting. Some guys just cant do it theatrically I guess

With GI Joe, the site Playlist stated on twitter that it's possible that Paramont wanted reshoots including a certain character to survive his death since that certain actor is getting popular. Hint: He likes to step it up to 21 Jump Street.

Lol yeah I was wondering why they were gonna kill him off. I know he wasnt that well received but he's the leader

Well that's the rumor for now. The 3D is a coverup for the reshoots.

Yeah well, I've heard everyone talk about how great he is on Friday Night Lights, but I personally would rather watch a f**king curling match than watch a cancelled show about high school football. Maybe he is great on that show, but to be honest, I don't care. He's been bland at best in his films. It's kind of like when people defend Tatum's acting to me and point out some obscure movie he did years ago where he was supposedly good. Maybe he was, but if an actor is atrocious in something, the last thing I want to do is run out and see more of him.

WTF. They've been amping the marketing up with several trailers already, and now they're going to delay it for another six months or so? Who made this stupid decision over at Paramount, anyway?

I hope they realize that if they are really pushing it back to give Charming Potato a bigger role, they are only going to make fans even more reluctant to see it.

Well, Charming Potato is also now in a career renaissance. Even I like him now.

He was funny in Jump Street and looks funny in Magic Mike
