Just curious... are they having Conan speak with an American accent in this? It sounded like that in the trailer.

It seems like that kinda americanised British. Think Kratos from God of War. I think it kinda suits. It's very similar to Ron Perlmans Conan too, in accent, which I thought was perfect so I don't mind it. When I showed my GF the trailer she went "Oh no, he's got an American accent, that's ****" and then I got all annoyed at her :P In my defence, she can be pretty intolerant of anything American. She has somewhat elitist tendencies that I have to beat down with my egalitarian nature :P

Yeah, in the 'Conan' video game. It was a pretty good Conan voice, IMO. When he invoked Crom or called someone a dog, it felt like REH Conan to me. He was going to voice him in an animated adaptation of Red Nails too but I think that project fell apart.

Yeah it's a shame, I really wanted to see that animated version of Red Nails.

I've been wondering if there had been any news on Red NAils since it's getting close to the movie coming out.

Conan the Barbarian(Arnold) and Conan the Destroyer are coming out on Blu Ray on August 2nd.

Ah, okay. Yeah, that works. Reminds me a bit of how the Barbarian spoke in Diablo II, which I always thought sounded like a good voice for Conan.

Speaking of which, I know it's obvious typecasting, but if they ever do make a Diablo movie (still keeping my fingers crossed on that one) Stephen Lang would be awesome as the Barbarian character.

It sounds to me like Conan has a sort-of-British-or-at-least-not-quite-American accent. It's probably just a bit of a fudge.

Excellent posters!! Wow!! Ron Perlman looks nothing like I expected him to look like!! I was expecting him to look kinda' similar and recognizeable as he did in "Outlander". In this poster I would have never guessed it was him!! Nice!

I'm still not totally sold on this movie but I do have to say that all of the posters they've released from it have been stellar. Perlman looks really weird though... maybe it's just his expression, but I have to agree with the person on CBM that said he looks like a Geico caveman.

Love the posters, and the look of the movie so far has really impressed me. It really looks like a lost age, you can see buildings falling into disrepair, it's almost as if you can see their age ending.

New TV spot is cool, but they really need to get a better voiceover guy. He just makes it sound cheesy whenever he talks.

I get a big non-Conan, the character, vibe from that. The film looks very good, and my be very good, but I think it's gonna miss the mark re. an accurate Conan representation.
