Connie Nielsen IS Hippolyta

Really digging this casting.

Honestly better than the rumored Robin Wright.

I never found the idea of Robin Wright as Hippolyta exciting at all.

Now i don't know about everyone else here but to me in this interview her accent sounds a lot like Gal's accent, anyone else hear the resemblance?

Plus how awesome is it that she was in a film with Pa Kent and Queen Mera lol.

She had her native Danish accent in "The Following".

I specifically said "more" in reference to Said, and those other people you mentioned may not even have roles worth mentioning in this film.

How much "more" is enough for you? One of the other people I mentioned is the lead. Gadot is Wonder Woman. lol

What are roles not worth mentioning? You think/assume they're extras? Not sure why you're asking for "more" when you don't know how many there are in the first place.

Like mother, like daughter...

BTW, I'm so pumped for this casting :D

I definitely see the resemblance.

Now who's her daddy. :hmm

Nice to finally put a face to the Queen.

This seems like such a random casting to me. I was expecting a more high profile actor tbh, WB is really saving majority of their budget for the actual movie arent they lol. But she looks good enough and from what I've seen her in, she was good. She plays a great villain.

Well they were originally planning for Kidman to take the role until her HBO contract prevented her from playing Queen Hippolyta.

Wright is Hera, almost sure about it.

On Wikipedia it lists Wright as Antiope, but that could just be based on her being Diana's aunt.

Or maybe Jenkins is casting based on auditions.

I really want to see the Olympian gods in the film especially Zeus, so i support Wright as Hera.

There is no resemblance. Nielsen is Danish (light skin, blue eyes, dirty blonde) and Gadot is Israeli. People here keep trying to force a resemblance. lol

I like this casting. I remember her in Soldier with kurt russell, she was easy on the eyes back then. I think her accent is a bonus aswell. I think this is better casting than kidman or wright.

Going from Kidman to her is a pretty big "list" gap, but overall I am ok with the decision.

It doesn't really matter what they are, people are able to look alike from all around the world.

Yeah in this day an age i personally prefer less famous talent over famous talent any day.

Mainly cause less famous talents will more likely sign multi-picture deals. :woot:

Really? I love this casting.

I love this woman as a matter of fact, but lets not go there now. :oldrazz:

Agreed, and agreed. :woot:

That's okay. Children often don't always resemble their parents. Have you seen Christie Brinkley's daughter with Billy Joel? She's all Daddy and barely an ounce of her beautiful Mommy. :csad:

At this point, they just need to get someone who looks a bit more like Gal for the part of Zeus. I will say, though, that although there isn't a strong likeness between her and Nielsen, the disparity isn't quite as noticeable as it was with Kidman.
