Constantine General Discussion Thread - Part 1

They are going to show 13 episodes now, even though the production team has done 15 episodes...right ?

They only have the scripts for Eps 14 and 15 which can easily be rechristened as 2x01 and 2x02 with the odd retooling renewal permitted

I disagree, Arrow had established a very compelling mystery in episode one. The whole "what happened on the island" thing. In fact I have heard from multiple viewers that the island storyline was the reason they kept watching the show.

Exactly. Arrow established its mystery from the beginning. Personally that was exactly what made me interested in the show. Not to mention the mystery of what exactly his mother was up to and what her role was in Oliver's exile. Overall, it was no Flash pilot but the Arrow pilot did a VERY good job establishing the show's intrigue. Not to mention it very clearly established that "this is not the Green Arrow you know from Smallville."

Interesting: Constantine is moving to 8pm (now returning on Friday, January 16th). I think that’s a good sign NBC has NOT given up on it.

So the second part of last week's episode doesn't air until then? Or did my DVR screw up and not record?

No wonder I notice Dateline being shown at 10 last night. They're switching with the show.

So, this may serve as a good thing for the two. For, Constantine, more folks tuning in during the 8hr and increasing the demo on the 18-49 arena (plus cutting some rival shows to sizes) and for Dateline to cut 20/20 and Blue Bloods at the knees

Coonstantine
Grimm
Hannibal

That would be a hell of a Friday night lineup.

We'll be unlikely to see it unless the show is picked up for a second season and they either give it a full-length season or air it midseason. I think Constantine's season will be over by the time Hannibal premieres.

Oh, yeah!

I can only forecast the ratings being more in the 4 Million range and the 18-49 demo between 1.0-1.3 tops between 01/16 and 02/13.

This is random, but I was watching Guardians of the Galaxy the other day and I noticed that the guy who plays Jim Corrigan was in it. He played one of the prison guards.

Finally got caught up on the last 3 episodes and damn is this show good. Hopefully it gets a second season. I like that he smokes more now too

Heh, actor that Aronofsky likes so much is in Constantine. Very nice!

Am I wrong or is "Constantine" running tonight?

Yup, It's finally back on. :D

At 8 instead of 10.

0.8 ratings with 3.08 million viewers.

I don't want to be that guy... but this show is definitely done for now.

I'm sure that was said when we saw Ep. 2's ratings. The ratings will bounce back with Ep. 10-13 just like how 3-5 did. Plus NBC said they're still standing by the show unlike State of Affairs which both Salke and Greenblatt have admitted their disappointment in that one's ratings performance.

If I'm right the L+3 results for Part 2 may be on par with The Darkness Beneath's

Yeah, this thing was dead when they stopped production and didn't order a back nine. Double tapped now with worse ratings in the new time slot.
