I really hope this show makes it. I understand that the episodes have been pretty formulaic so far and I hope that the larger story begins to take shape soon. But Matt Ryan is so damned good as Constantine that I'm willing to overlook the show's other flaws. And diehard fans of the comic really need to lighten up a little bit; the last episode was a pretty solid adaptation of Hunger/A Feast of Friends from the comics. Yeah, they changed some stuff, but that's par for the course with comic book adaptations. It still kept a lot of the core stuff.

Oh, and as for the Supernatural comparisons... Matt Ryan is a better actor than every actor on that show COMBINED.

This and coming from a diehard, too! I don't see Walking Dead diehards whinging about the show's changes while maintainig the the comic's make-up do they (save for Lori, Andrea and Ty)?

How's this doing in the ratings over there..in the UK it's not on a channel it's going straight onto Amazon Prime after its shown in the US so I don't know how the UK ratings will effect it?

We can rest our doubts about Network commitment. Cerone has said on twitter that the network is very passionate about the show and that he's hoping they get a full 20+ episode order.

And the production designer Dave Blass has tweeted the pics of the scripts for Ep. 12-16.

Chances are they just didn't want it.

Channel 4 has Marvel's Agents Of Shield and Sky has both Arrow and The Flash. (With Gotham on Channel 5).

It would have been a good fit on FOX, but I guess they weren't fussed about it either.

Well, NBC did approach Goyer first so it wasn't like he was shopping it around to the them or CBS. Now FX or AMC had he done so, yes. Or Syfy since they'll be showing the first four episodes tomorrow from 7-11pm

I meant FOX UK... they air Goyer's Da Vinci's Demons so I thought they might have showed some interest in Constantine.

I can't be bothered with Amazon Prime, so I'm disappointed no UK network picked it up.

Speaking of US network series, congratulations for being cast as Jim Corrigan in NBC’s Constantine, what an amazing character to play!

Scanlon: I tested for Constantine in February. And looking at how Matt does it, the better man won out… But David Goyer and Daniel Cerone have never forgotten about me. Felicia Fasano too. I owe them a lot for bringing me back.

Aside from animation, no one has ever portrayed Jim Corrigan (or The Spectre) onscreen before. How does it feel to be the actor to play the first live action depiction of a (future) DC Comics superhero?

Yeah putting the Wire on BBC2 at 23:30. Sky usually waits to see if a show is a hit before bidding. Sopranos etc... They've also got the deal with HBO and make Penny Dreadful with Showtime so are a bit stocked at the moment.

That sucks big time for us UK fans, as another poster said I can't be bothered with Amazon streaming either.
