Hoping they add Zantanna to the main cast, who would everyone want to play her?
I've always liked to see Julia Voth in the role.

Really thought they'd go with a big name for this. Then again, I thought the same about the Ichabod role on Sleepy Hollow and that's been quite a success, so...Matt Ryan Lands Title Role In NBC Pilot ‘Constantine’
By NELLIE ANDREEVA
Welsh actor Matt Ryan will play the lead in NBC’s drama pilot Constantine, from Warner Bros TV. Based on the characters in DC Comics’ John Constantine stories, Constantine centers on John Constantine (Ryan), an enigmatic and irreverent con man-turned-reluctant supernatural detective who is thrust into the role of defending us against dark forces from beyond. John Constantine is described as a working class Londoner with rakish good looks, scruffy blonde hair, deadpan humor, and signature trench coat, who has been studying the dark arts since he was a teenager. When the daughter of a late friend, is targeted by demons, Constantine steps in to save her. The project was written by Daniel Cerone from a story by him and David S. Goyer, the go-to writer for Warner Bros.’ feature DC adaptations who has co-penned The Dark Knight, The Dark Knight Rises, Batman Begins, Man Of Steel and the upcoming Batman vs. Superman...

John is described as a working-class Londoner with deadpan humor who is a mysterious conman and occult detective
haunted by the recent loss of a young girl's soul. No stranger to the dark underworld that exists parallel to our own, Constantine has been studying the dark arts since he was a teenager. He's taught himself spells, rituals, curses and conjuring, but the one person he most wishes to see -- his mother, who died giving birth to him -- remains out of reach, at least so far. When Liv, the daughter of a late friend, is targeted by demons, Constantine steps in to save her and the two form an alliance.
Oh, I thought the daughter would be Zatanna.Extended character description from THR:
I feel like I'm looking at a hybrid of Jeremy Irons and Jim Carrey.

You're probably right. My immediate thought upon seeing that report was that his "old friend" was John Zatara and that the daughter who he has to save his Zatanna. True, they refer to her as "Liv" but that may be misdirection if they want her appearance to be a nice surprise for the audience. As for the casting, well he's actually British so that's good. I do hope that he dyes his hair blonde for the role.
