CW developing Beauty&Beast series

Yep. Kind of sad when even Beastly kept that part of the story.

Its the media, they reinvent stuff.
Its like how they made Peter Parker a hipster in TAS when he is really a geek.
As far as I know, geeks don't wear contacts, designer skinny jeans and carry skateboard around.

The producers said he becomes more beast-like as the series progresses.

Man this show looks pretty bad.

I mean, the original show wasn't that good, but there wee a few things about it that were pretty cool, but this version seems to have removed all of them.

I don't understand your definition of words.

Naw, really?
Reinventions aren't immune to bad reception.

Peter was a geek in ASM, he was far from being a hipster. Geeks wear contacts, sometimes they like to change it up from glasses. He didn't wear designer skinny jeans.
And geeks can skateboard too, imagine that. Probably why he carries a skateboard around.

Sounds like the reverse of concept of Beauty and the Beast, but we'll see.

Co-sign.

Where I come from, geeks don't wear skinnies, contacts and skateboard.

Also, just look at the skinnies. The cut, fit and material shows that its a pretty expensive pair. I don't recall geeks looking like this.
Brings the word geek chic to a whole new level.

Geeks aren't a tribe, they're just weird people who like and know a lot about activities that don't necessarily involve a lot of socialization, like movies and science. They can wear whatever they want. It's kind of a behavior thing.

You only think he's not a geek because Andrew pulls the look off very well...

They made Peter into Edward Cullen, not a geek though

I still don't like that he looks handsome and heart-throbbish most of the time.

I didn't realize that geeks came in one make and model. :o

I think that's a bigger problem for this Beauty and the Beast show.

Not exactly. Its like that everywhere. This is Hollywood. People gotta look pretty. My girlfriends are all going gaga for Andrew Garfield, because they said he looked so cute in TAS. I mean just look at his hair, stylist probably spent like 20 minutes on it before every set. The clothes, he is wearing, the shoes, the contacts, the skateboard and those dreamy eyes with long lashes, all he needs is to put on a nice jacket and he could easily be the cutest guy in the class. Unlike Tobey Mcguire, no matter what he does, he has this geeky awkward looking thing about him.

All it takes is to put on a fitted jacket and he is a hollywood heartthrob.
I mean face it, he is cute. Thats what Hollywood do. Everythings gotta be pretty, gotta look good. It explains why the Hospital in Greys anatomy only hires doctors that looks like model.
Thats what beauty and the beast is doing as well. They don't want a beast that constantly looks like a real lion. They want him to look hot and sexy and beast out as and when there is a need to. And I don't see whats wrong with that since everyone is doing it.

Not sure if geeks spent 20 minutes on their hair, wear contacts, put on make up (I'm sure he did), wears skinnys, cool shoes and skateboard around. :o
He gotta be the coolest, most good looking geek in the planet.
