Best part about this episode? Alaric man!
Also, I wonder about the fact that Silas hid his face when he died and they commented on it, it makes me think that they would recognise his face from somewhere.

we will find out something about silas in the finale according to the episode description.

Finally, Stefan (Paul Wesley) discovers a horrifying clue to the mystery surrounding Silas.

There isn't a GIF or video clip enough to describe this feeling!!!

A possable tipoff on which resurrection may stick.

The actress who plays Lexi was at the CW Upfront today. And she didn't have a pilot that
was picked up by them.

That would be awesome!

Loved how Stefan and Ric punked those two hunter nitwits and all their bravado right at the beginning there.

And am I the only one who doesn't find Kol that intimidating?

Does everybody have a doppelganger on this show ?

This finale just might've saved the show for me.

Because it was a damn disaster for a while there.

Easy there, you're not talking about Glee... :o

Loved that ending though. Can't wait to see more of [blackout]Paul Wesley as Silas[/blackout] next season.

once again, DING DONG THE WITCH IS DEAD! WHICH OLD WITCH? THE BORING WITCH!!

I fully expected that to get reversed by episode's end, but I guess there's some justice afterall. I get that Bonnie doesn't want to burden the team with it, but how's her dad going to deal? He must feel like he failed as a parent yet again!

As for the ending? I'm still in pure WTF? mode right now. I need to see watch it again but, that's going down as one of the most mindbending twists I've seen anywhere this year, I still can't wrap my head around it. Right now all I can say is I hope they don't screw it up like they did with the Klaus-in-Tyler's-body switch. They got a good thing here, now ride it till the rails fall off!!!

I'd rather they just ride it to their intended destination and not wear out a good thing.

That twist! I love it. That was one amazing season finale. :awesome: [blackout]I hope Silas-Stefan is as fun as Katherine. I'm looking forward to the flashbacks about the history of the Salvatore family.[/blackout]

Saw this at Tumblr and it made me laugh:

I kinda hope Silas is able to pull it off for a good few episodes before Damon and Elena can smell the BS and eventually retrieve Stefan.

wow spectacular finale. the best moment was klaus decapitating the witch with the graduation cap.

don't get too happy, julie plec says she's still a regular next season.

With Bonnie's death seemingly permanent, is Kat returning a series regular?
Kat will still be a regular, business as usual. She just now has the mother of all obstacles preventing her and Jeremy from being able to have the physical relationship that we've danced around for so long.

I enjoyed it. Heaven help me I enjoyed it.

I do think they are still copying Whedon. It's like when they are in the board rooms, and an idea comes up, and someone says, but that happened in Buffy/Angel, someone else says, "So what".

Knowing TV they probably wont notice or find out until the episode before the Winter Break

It was an Ok finale. While I was surprised that Katherine was the one who got turned human I would have rather it been Klausoor Damon since that would have had an even bigger impact. And I was disappointed that Jeremy is alive again since he just bored me for most of the show. Will be interesting to see how they bring Bonnie back. And stephan being a doppelganger was surprising though I would assume there should be another one being born sometime in the future if not already.

Everything will be mostly back to normal within 4 episodes. Bet on it.
Especially Bonnie.

I'm going to guess that out of all of them, it'll be Caroline that will first notice that Stefan is not himself.

Wait, is the evil Stephan a doppelganger or Silas posing as him? I could have sworn I heard him say "Do you have any idea what 2,000 years of thirst feels like?"
