When is Marvel supposed to get the rights back?

I don't think Daredevil really warrants a sequel. The first one already exhausted his arsenal of cool villains. Who are they gonna put in the second? Stilt-Man?

I think they're all pretty cool, and would be GREAT in a sequel, either seperately, or in a two villain capacity.

If Marvel gets the rights back it'll be at the end of 2007 I belive. 5 years of inactivity. I don't think Marvel would rush to make another one even if they did get the rights back but a KINGPIN tv series on HBO with Daredevil and Elektra as co-stars would be just fine.

Gladiator would make an awesome Kingpin goon. He's a troubled soul, kinda like a poor man's Two Face.
It'd also explain how Matt got his costume.

Yeah but the character needs some time to rest still. Let the minds figure out how to re-think Daredevil for the big screen and find a real actor with phsycial skills an acting ability to play him instead of a drunk idiot with a huge head.

DD was the slowest movie in history to reach $100 million.

Stick maybe a great character but he wasn't there from the begining, he was added years later in a re-telling. Following 60's roots does not make MSJ make a poor movie. FOX did that to DD,FF, and X3.

Just as long as Ben Affleck isnt DD I'm cool with a sequal. Ben was horrible.

I wouldn't say he was horrible. The problem I had with him is that I saw Ben Affleck first and DD/Matt Murdock second. Like, in Batman Begins, I wasn't thinking "Hey, it's Christian Bale as Batman," I was thinking "Hey, it's Batman!" Ben is just too recognizable to play a superhero convincingly.

Hopefully they'll recast him and give DD a small role in another Marvel film. Viggo would be cool.

I don't know if someone has already said this but,

I think Duncan should play Kingpin in a Spider-Man movie,

what would be ideal is if he made a quick guest appearence as Wilson Fisk in a Spider-Man film. (not as the Kingpin or the main bad guy, just businessman Fisk)
Then returned as the main villian in a future Spider-Man film.

No i think he'd be a cool villain in a possible Spidey Sequel! but due to his comments about how the King Pin Plot should go as a daredevil sequel...i have to say im not impress. i say bring out a new villian if an when a sequel his made.

I didn't have a problem with Ben Affleck in Daredevil. I thought the cast did a great job. I may be the only person on the board with that opinion...oh well.....

I liked Ben as DD/Matt. Moreso as DD because he was more believable. The mask and stuntmen made me forget all about Ben Affleck and in a way the same thing for his Matt Murdock because of the trademark glasses. I was able to see the performance come out more than just "Ben Affleck playing a superhero". Now cast him as any other hero where his appearance is not as easy to hide and we'd have a problem. It's the same problem I had with the Tom Cruise as Iron Man rumors. Too much recognizability.
