Daredevil Daredevil General Discussion Thread - Part 1

That's why I suggested one thread per episode with a requirement that everyone be respectful and extremely careful about spoiling future episodes. Pretty much a rule of "when in doubt, don't post it." After all, if you really want to discuss something from a future episode, you can go to that future episode thread, or the general discussion thread, or post in spoiler tags.

Totally agree.

Going by typical comic-con reveal schedules, if we're getting the first trailer or sizzle reel of footage at NYCC, then we're likely to get a still image at least a couple of days before that.

Have they been? Or are we just an audience that's been spoiled rotten in the past?

Both, but that whole spoiled rotten thing is kinda old and worn out especially since its the norm for most productions to generate early buzz with costume reveals, officials stills, etc.

I wouldn't say spoiled rotten. It's his costume. We've had a good idea of what Ant-Man will look like for a year or so and the movie wont be out for many months still.
You'd think we would have concept art released a while ago.

I remembered this MK trailer from awhile ago and found it again, and the scene with Johnny Cage (3:10 mark)-- though probably not how Matt's going to fight, is how I would love for a scene to play out on this show -

Totally random but I hope Sister Maggie appears on the show. Am I the only one who wants that?

I want them to hint at sister Maggie, without the full reveal about her identity yet. Make it progressive, after a born again like scenario.

Damn...never though that I would get hyped for a Daredevil series lol. Need to see it :mrk:

Ever since this got announced I started cramming daredevil books. He's slowing becoming one of my favorite heroes.

Same here. I pretty much started reading them last February. It's quite a fun ride so far.

Wonder if we will get a peak at the costume any time soon. Generally that isn't the kind of thing that's at the top or my list but I'm starved for mcu news at the moment.

Hopefully. Its still hard to believe this is happening. Daredevil, Iron Fist, Luke Cage, Jessica Jones, all getting their own tv shows... on Netflix rather then a network? A dream come true... and then a miniseries where they all come together.

NYCC can't come soon enough.

It was already hard to believe that Daredevil would get a film or tv series so soon after Fox returned him to Marvel. Now, he's going to be in MCU, I still can't believe that this is really happening.

Marvel and Netflix are proud to announce an exclusive "Marvel's Daredevil" signing event at New York Comic Con on Saturday, October 11 from 3:45-4:45 p.m. ET at the Marvel Booth (#1354)

For the first time, Charlie Cox (Matt Murdock), Deborah Ann Woll (Karen Page), Elden Henson (Foggy Nelson), and Vincent D'Onofrio (Wilson Fisk) will meet with fans.

All fans who participate in this signing will also receive an exclusive "Marvel's Daredevil" production concept art poster, drawn by Marvel Chief Creative Officer and legendary artist Joe Quesada.

Please note: this is a ticketed event. Interested fans should arrive at the Marvel Booth when the doors open at 10:00 a.m. ET on the day of the signing to participate in a random drawing for the opportunity to get one (1) item signed by the cast.

"Marvel's Daredevil" follows the journey of Matt Murdock, who was blinded as a young boy but imbued with extraordinary senses, now fighting against injustice by day as a lawyer, and by night as the super hero Daredevil in modern day Hell's Kitchen, New York City.

Marvel's first original series on Netflix is Executive Produced by series Showrunner Steven S. DeKnight ("Spartacus," "Buffy: The Vampire Slayer," "Angel") and Drew Goddard ("Cabin in the Woods," "Lost," "Buffy The Vampire Slayer," in addition to writing the first two episodes of "Marvel's Daredevil"), along with Marvel TV's Jeph Loeb ("Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.," "Smallville," "Heroes").

"Marvel's Daredevil" is produced by Marvel Television in association with ABC Studios for Netflix

So, a logo reveal and they've confirmed an appearance at NYCC!

The logo's awesome.

Hopefully Rosario Dawson will show up and they announce who she's playing.

Looking forward to seeing the concept poster

Concept art poster by Quesada? Why not get the guy who did that huge Avengers Age of Ultron poster or the Ant-Man art poster?

Still can't wait.

The logo is cool but doesn't look that different from the comic logo.
