So if Bullseye's out, the I wonder who the "physical villain" will be? I know that Fisk can throw if he really has, but I think that he'll be more of a "schemer" for most of the show.

Probably Wesley at first, then whoever Peter Shinkoda is playing(I'm guess the ninja with the blade on the chain) and a bunch of thugs and goons throughout.

Bullseye could be out as a villain in Daredevil, but that doesn't rule him out as a Defenders foe.

Filming report from a week or so back. Was still in the black costume. They must be pretty far into shooting by now, so I'm expecting the black suit for maybe half of the series

I see. Personally I don't have a problem with that, just so long as he does get the red one later.

I doubt they would introduce him outside of Daredevil's show.

Yeah, Bullseye is way too much of a personal foe for DD to introduce him anywhere else.

I think some people here may not understand that putting all the major characters in the first season may not be the best way to do things. Most TV shows do introduce every character in the first season, in the Wire Marlo Standfield was not introduced till season 3 and he was one of the show's most important villains.

If Bullseye is one of the most deadly and ruthless foes DD has ever faced, introducing him in a later season makes some sense. DD is just starting off in this first season, he would be something of rookie in the first season, so having him build up his skills and confidence in the first season by fighting normal punks, then to have those skills and confidence tested by the appearance of Bullseye in season 2 makes a lot of sense, there is no benefit in trying to cram everything into the first season. Plus a lot of DD's villains are hitmen (Bullet, Bushwacker, etc), they can have some other villains be hired muscle before Bullseye appears.

Nope, but we do know that it's premiering in May.

The way Steven Deknight has been talking about it makes me think that May isn't set in stone and that they could be looking at an earlier release date if everything goes right.

I still really want Typhoid Mary to appear. She's my favorite DD villain and she's so delightfully insane.

I'm sure she will appear, though not in the first season. I think Typhoid Mary's original introduction in the comics made sense considering it happened after the death of Elektra, I think her introduction loses some power if it just happens out of nowhere and not in its proper context.

It was actually post-Born Again. The fact that the Kingpin knew Daredevil's identity was a big part of it (allowing Mary to be with Matt while Typhoid fought Daredevil). Echo was a similar plan later on. It doesn't have to be a faithful rendition, though, to be effective.

Typhoid Mary is a character I'd like to see make a comeback in the comics. She was pretty new and still a hot character back when I first got into comics, and I really dug her back then. But it seems that, bar popping up in a small role here or there, she hasn't had the chance to make much of a splash in recent years. I'd love to see Mark Waid and Chris Samnee do a big storyline with her in their current series.

Interesting that DeKnight is a big Punisher fan. He's name dropped him multiple times. I wonder if he'll add him into the series somewhere down the line.

I'd like to see Marvel go the slow and steady approach to introducing The Punisher into the MCU through these Netflix shows. Maybe just start with some offhand references in Daredevil, like a couple of hoods talking about Daredevil when criminals start getting their asses kicked:

THUG 1: Do you think this means that The Punisher's back?
THUG 2: No, these guys were left alive.

But the point is, I think her introduction had more power, because it was built upon with the Death of Elektra and Born Again, having her appear out of the blue, without those stories, may not have the same impact. Kingpin and Typhoid Mary's plan to have her break Matt's heart makes more sense in light of those events. I suppose they could introduce her another way, but I think they should be carefully, I do think she makes more sense to appear after Elektra is gone, two super villainious love interests at once can seem redundant.

Oh ok looks like the tv series will be pg 13. Hmm, bit of a shame. Missed opportunity there

TV-14 actually, which is more than good enough. Breaking Bad was TV-14 and had plenty of violence and dark themes. You can get away with pretty much anything on TV-14 other than explicit sexual content.

Punisher, Spider-Man, Wilber Day. RT @Marvel_CMU: if you could have any character from the Marvel films in Daredevil, who would it be?

Who is Wilbur Day?

This idea of a mainstream Marvel/DC superhero getting the hard R treatment is a fantasy that just won't die...

^Ooh, I like that.

Isn't that Stilt-Man? I wonder if DeKnight is just testing us. :)

DeKnight suggested Katrina Law to play Elektra. I like this suggestion, a lot.

To be fair, it's happened before. Blade and Punisher come to mind right away.
