First world problems. :)

The best part was that JJ starts filming. I have no problem with DD wearing the black suit the entire first season. I hope to God they base it entirely on the man without fear. That would mean they are planning several seasons. Marvel, as always, is playing the long game.

I wouldnt have a problem with it either if it wasnt going to be several years until season 2 and Defenders when we would see him again. If we're gonna have to wait several years to see DD again, I want to see his iconic suit for at least a few episodes.

Hope that's not the case though... In fact, I would prefer an official image of the final suit over a trailer.

Man without fear is great, but it?s not 13 hours worth of story. Not to mention he's already a lawyer in the show. I'm hopeful he'll get his suit long before the end of first season.

All the pictures with him in the black suit look like they're from the same scene. I bet they're hiding the final costume.

I reckon he'll get the full final suit around episode 9/10

Yeah it seems like Man Without Fear is a big influence, but there's a lot else going on. The presence of Karen Page and absence of Elektra is evidence enough of this.

I bet this has been mentioned as being an influence on the poster but whatever. :O

I've definitely seen that cover before, but I never noticed that the outline is actually made from his billy club. That's neat.

I still think they may adapt aspects of the Frank Miller Gang War story (with Owl replacing Kingpin's old lieutenants), with Owl kidnapping Vanessa and that starting a gang war between the two of them. I think DD's origin and a gang war is easily enough story for one season.

I think it's going to be a combination of all the notable runs such as Miller and Bendis' runs on the book along with some original material. I just hope that Bullseye will eventually be on the show in some shape or form.

Those Jock covers for Reborn were so good. I still need to read that. I got the hardcover for six bucks last weekend.

Sort of weird. This is basically an image we've already seen, but slightly different.

Huh.

What would be the reasoning in Murdock's own mind in this show for switching from black to a brighter, iconic red? Not that it has to be such a good reason, because I don't want him in generic black for the whole season.

I think Claire Temple might make it for him. She does say that his initial outfit sucks in the NYCC footage.

I think the simplest solution is the symbol angle. Creating a figure for the community to rally behind. You see someone all in black in a mask, they could be anyone out to do anything, but you see Daredevil, you know that as a resident of the Kitchen, you can feel safe, and as a criminal, you should be worried.

Despite me never been there, I've heard Hell's Kitchen is pretty nice these days so I'm curious as to they're portrayal of it. I can see why Carnahan's version took place in the 70's. Now there was a New York that justifies Daredevil in Hell's Kitchen.

I wonder if he's going to call himself Daredevil when he starts out, or whether someone gives him that name. He clearly isn't using that symbolism in his costume in the released photos but just looks like a generic ninja vigilante. Or if he doesn't use that name, maybe Claire Temple will give it to him? But why?

Definitely a point. It could just be a matter of the New York in the MCU not following the same path as the New York in our reality. Or maybe they won't take it that far. Gotham in Nolan's Batman didn't seem like the urban hell it was in the comics, but crazy **** still went down there.

Definitely questions I'm excited to learn the answer to. I could see the whole thing as an evolution, he starts out wanting to do this thing, hides his identity in a simple way, then slowly finds his way to Daredevil. The press and Claire Temple will probably play roles in Matt's journey from mysterious, masked vigilante to Daredevil.

Yeah, hell's kitchen is actually a quite nuce neighborhood. I took some nice pictures there.

I've always just thought that Hell's Kitchen in the Marvel Universe New York City is just an alternate universe version that remained like how it was in the 1970s. I stay in a hotel in Hell's Kitchen every year on my annual visit to New York, and it's a nice area. It's clearly been gentrified, and is filled with nice restaurants and the like. In fact, I overheard a member of staff at my hotel talking to an inspector, mentioning how because of the massive police station in the area, Hell's Kitchen had possibly the lowest crime rate in Manhattan these days.
